About this Position
Serve as an Unarmed SecurityOfficer at the OSUCOM-CN Tahlequah campus. As part of the Oklahoma State University Police Department's Tulsa Division, you will be a valued member of the unarmed security team assigned to the Tahlequah campus. In this role, you will provide safety and security services to students, faculty, staff, and visitors at our state-of-the-art facility. You are entrusted with fostering a safe and inclusive environment through active engagement and proactive security patrols, contributing to the overall mission of the department and the university community.
Required Qualifications
High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
OSU requires a minimum of a high school/ GED for all professional positions. OSU recognizes that the public safety field is a knowledge skill-based position.
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Candidates must be CLEET certified or eligible for CLEET certification within 6 months of hire.

Position Overview
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide guests with a secure and positive experience at Walton Arts Center/Walmart AMP. Duties and Responsibilities

Campus Security Patrol plays a vital role in creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment for faculty, staff, guests, and students. Security Patrol executes emergency response procedures when needed, including first aid, building and environmental emergency response, de-escalation, and coordinating with EMS/Fire/Police when on campus.

Patrol interior and outdoor spaces across the campus to establish presence.

Position Overview
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide guests with a secure and positive experience at Walton Arts Center/Walmart AMP. Security guards will execute screening procedures and enforce policies designed to minimize risk and disruption of the event experience while ensuring a strong positive customer service interaction. Security guards are expected to uphold the values of the organization and to follow Walton Arts Center/Walmart AMP procedures related to interactions with guests.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide a secure and positive first impression of Walton Arts Center/Walmart AMP by offering superior, individualized service. Monitor entry and exit points to specific areas of Walton Arts Center, including screening of guests' bags prior to entering the venue.
Provide Walton Arts Center/Walmart AMP Guests accurate event and facility information.
Enforce facility policies (i.e., no smoking, no re-entry) and procedures throughout the building.
Respond to emergencies as necessary.
Aid in direction of orderly evacuation of the building during emergencies.
Deal with patron problems and complaints up to the level where intervention by a Security Supervisor is required.
Minimum 1 year experience in a position where interacting with the public to provide services was a requirement of the job.
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures and protocols.
Ability to remain calm and perform duties under pressure and time limits
Reliable and punctual.
Able to secure transportation to and from work when scheduled.

Coordinates all activities with the Principal, or any other staff member concerned. Seeks permission, advice, and guidance prior to enacting any program within the school.
When requested by the Principal, the SRO shall attend as many parent/faculty meetings as possible to solicit support and understanding of the SRO program.
Available for conferences with students, parents and faculty members in order to assist them with problems of a law enforcement or crime prevention nature.
Assists the Principal and staff in developing plans and strategies to prevent and/or minimize dangerous situations which may occur on school campus.
Takes law enforcement action as required. Informs Principal of any such action.
Provides assistance to other police officers in matters regarding school assignment whenever necessary.
Is expected to participate in school functions such as athletic events, dances, Parent-Teacher Service Organization (PTSO) programs, and other school-sponsored activities when the Principal and SRO consider attendance advantageous.
Monitors hallways during all class changes and lunch periods unless involved in a situation which warrants their immediate attention.
