Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Our Uniformed Division's mission is to protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees. Throughout its history, the Uniformed Division has accomplished this mission through individuals who embody honor, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
Today, the Uniformed Division has grown both in size and scope of responsibility and is mandated by law to provide physical security for the White House Complex and the vice president's residence at the Naval Observatory. It also provides security for the Treasury Department building and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C. The Uniformed Division also has specialized teams including Counter Sniper, Emergency Response, K-9, and more.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.

Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.

Your background:
You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)

This is a Mobile Patrol Position post which requires you to be on your feet/or patrolling actively while on duty.
As a mobile patrol security officer, one is expected to uphold rigorous standards of quality in service to our community. Maintaining a commanding presence and exemplifying outstanding customer service skills are fundamental components of this position. Additionally, it is imperative that the individual possesses the capability to manage crisis situations at client sites with composure, effectiveness, and efficiency.
In your position with our company, you will take responsibility for initiating and completing daily reports. As a valued member of our team, you will uphold a distinguished presence when assigned to various locations.
Your current duties include but are not limited to, the responsibilities detailed below.
Responsibilities:
Regularly conducts thorough patrols across the premises of commercial and residential properties, as well as docks, logging camps, and various work sites. This includes utilizing both foot patrols for detailed inspections and mobility devices for broader coverage.
Performs meticulous inspections of all entry points, including doors, windows, and gates, to ensure that they are secure and functioning properly.
Provides clear warnings to individuals violating regulations, such as loitering, smoking in restricted areas, or possessing prohibited items. Takes decisive action to apprehend or remove anyone engaged in suspicious or criminal behavior, ensuring the safety of the environment.
Keeps a watchful eye for any irregularities, promptly reporting issues such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, or unsecured security doors that could compromise safety and security.
Diligently observes personnel as they depart to deter and prevent the theft of company property, maintaining a vigilant presence to protect assets.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and conflict management
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
Attention to detail and strong observation skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Outstanding Customer Service Skills
Must possess a valid NJ SORA License
Must have a valid Driver's License
Must have reliable transportation
Must understand, Speak, and be able to write the English language
**Shift Schedule:**
1st Shift: 8 AM - 4 PM on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday.
2nd Shift: 4 PM - 11 PM on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday.
