Responsibilities MSTS is seeking a dynamic, self-driven, and highly motivated candidate that will assist with all aspects of the Performance Testing Section within the Performance Assurance Division. Key Responsibilities Participating in and supporting all aspects of planning, coordination, scheduling, and conduct for performance tests to include Protective Force (PF), Physical Security Systems (PSS), Nuclear Material Control and Accountability (NMC&A), and Counter Unmanned Aerial System (CUAS). Evaluates the effectiveness of specific plans to address threats. Evaluates the effectiveness of training and supervision programs to prepare and manage Protective Force personnel in the performance of specified tasks. Participates in and support exercise program ensuring compliance in accordance with DOE Order (O) 473.2A, Protective Force Operations, DOE O 470.4B, Safeguards and Security Programs, DOE O 151.1D, Comprehensive Emergency Management Program and other applicable directives. Participates in and support conducting Limited Scope Performance Tests (LSPTs), Limited Notice Performance Tests (LNPTs), Alarm Response and Assessment Performance Tests (ARAPT) and document results which are provided to the Technical Analysis Section. Participate in and support NMC&A performance testing in accordance with DOE O 474.2A and other applicable directives. Participate in and support Physical Security Systems effectiveness testing, return to service and acceptance testing in accordance with DOE O 473.1A and other applicable directives. Participate and support CUAS effectiveness testing in accordance with Orders and directives. Provide support for formal test documentation. Report performance testing program changes and makes recommendations on organization and staffing requirements. Participation in the Human Reliability Program is required. Perform other duties assigned by Management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a field related to the position or equivalent training and experience plus two years of related progressive experience. Must be able to perform a crawl, duck walk, run, and occasionally lift and carry up to 60 lbs. Able to apply knowledge of principles, concepts and theory related to the position to address issues and to define and resolve problems. Able to apply knowledge and experience to resolve problems and accomplish goals where established procedures may not be specific. Able to exercise discretion and sound judgment in performing work and contribute recommendations for improving operations/processes. The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada). Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change). Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Must possess a valid driver's license. MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
