Description
Under the direction of a Conservation Police Officer 3 or other supervisory official, as a sworn law enforcement officer, in the Fish and Wildlife Program, Department of Environmental Protection, enforces all laws of the State of New Jersey and Federal Government enacted for the protection and management of fish and wildlife resources and other related environmental enforcement activities to protect the natural resources and the health of the public within the State in accordance with Titles 23, 39, 50, 58, 2C-Code of Criminal Justice and the Administrative Code N.J.A.C. 7:25 et. seq.; executes all processes issued for the violation of these laws, serves subpoenas issued for the examination, investigation or trial of all offenses against these laws, conducts environmental inspections and investigations and collects field information to determine compliance with the appropriate environmental laws and regulations; exercises all the powers and duties conferred by law while conducting regular duties; educates and informs the public regarding the rules, laws, procedures and management practices regarding the recreational and commercial uses of fish, game and wildlife to ensure the protection of the environment; provides security services for the waters, land, flora and fauna under the guidelines for Homeland Security; does other related duties as required.
Specific to the Position
Learns to conduct field investigations and inspections and patrol a designated or assigned area of the state by motor vehicle, all-terrain vehicle, boat, or on foot. Foot patrols may require walking long distances over difficult terrain in adverse conditions. Learns to patrol state wildlife management areas to ensure proper use of the area and protect its resources from various types of illegal activity. Learns to apprehend violators and effect physical arrests when appropriate, utilizing approved methods. Learns to conduct at-sea and dockside investigations of commercial fishing vessels to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and catch limitations.
*Due to the nature of this role, this position is performed exclusively on-site.

Familiarity with or knowledge of the identification of wildlife species; hunting, fishing and shellfisheries.
Requirements
EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in one of the Biological Sciences, Biology, Biostatistics, Microbiology, Natural Science, Zoology, Marine Science, Wildlife Biology, Marine Biology, Animal Science, Botany, Physics, Wildlife Science/Conservation, Fisheries Science, Wildlife Management, Conservation Law Enforcement, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Studies or Environmental Science. The Bachelor's degree must include or be supplemented by twenty-four (24) semester-hour credits in any combination of the following areas: Fisheries Science, Wildlife Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management or Biological Sciences.
NOTE: A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Education, Parks and Recreation or Criminal Justice supplemented by thirty (30) semester hour credits in any combination of the subject areas indicated above will be considered acceptable.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
CITIZENSHIP:
Must be a citizen of the United States of America.
TRAINING:
Appointees must be able to satisfactorily complete the police training course administered by the New Jersey State Police or other accredited police training academy certified by the Police Training Commission (PTC). Such training includes successful attainment of a level of proficiency in the use of firearms.

MEDICAL/PSYCHOLOGICAL EXAM:
Candidates will be required to undergo medical and psychological examinations administered by the appointing authority prior to appointment.
RESIDENCY:
Appointees will be required to establish residence in the approved residency area defined for the assigned administrative area of the state within ninety (90) days of completion of the Working Test Period.
License
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey.
Appointees may be required to obtain a motorboat operator's license issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission and a Boating Safety Certificate from a program approved by the New Jersey State Police.

About the Role
The Surveillance Operator (On-Call) is responsible for observing and reporting on all areas under surveillance and assuring the compliance with internal control standards.

Identify cheating activities, undesirables, pilferage and embezzlement.
Report and properly document all infractions and or criminal activity immediately to Shift Lead.
Observe, report, and record Casino activity through the utilization of CCTV equipment.
Perform special functions as assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Manager Surveillance Room.
Observes and reports any and all gaming violations and/or thefts of property.
Operates monitor room equipment, including basic computer functions; monitors slot equipment to provide security for company assets and funds.
Video records gaming and security-related incidents within the realm of monitor room video recording and surveillance capabilities.
Participates in court actions relating to gaming violations.
Learns all games in use and all procedures and cheating indicators of such games.
Maintains paper video logs and maintains logs per Department and company procedures.
Writes proper report as needed.
Responds to surveillance supervision and gaming control requests, as well as all other Departments when necessary.
Cooperate with, but perform independently of all other Departments
Essential Functions
Responsible for properly executing surveillance duties on assigned shift to adequately protect the life and property of customers, team members and the assets of Ocean Casino Resort Atlantic City, as well as company property.
Provide video Surveillance of all activities on the gaming floor and will monitor the operations for illegal activity.
Requirements
Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified/sensitive information.
Thorough knowledge of all casino games.
Thorough knowledge of table/slot scams.
Must have superior skills with various PC based software programs.
The ability to sit through entire shift; watch a video monitor and work in a confined setting
Ability to effectively communicate in English

Description
Under general direction of the Chief, Bureau of Law Enforcement, Fish and Wildlife Program, Department of Environmental Protection, develops, organizes, and supervises technical and administrative activities of the bureau; oversees and monitors the statewide staff responsible for the administration, planning, and coordination of a subdivision of the bureau's activities; exercises all of the powers and duties conferred by law while conducting regular duties; supervises staff and work activities. Prepares and signs official performance evaluations for subordinate staff; does other related duties as required.

Requirements
EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in one of the Biological Sciences, Biology, Biostatistics, Microbiology, Natural Science, Zoology, Marine Science, Wildlife Biology, Marine Biology, Animal Science, Botany, Physics, Wildlife Science/Conservation, Fisheries Science, Wildlife Management, Conservation Law Enforcement, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Studies or Environmental Science.
The Bachelor's degree must include or be supplemented by twenty-four (24) semester-hour credits in any combination of the following areas: Fisheries Science, Wildlife Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management or Biological Sciences.
NOTE: A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Education, Parks and Recreation or Criminal Justice supplemented by thirty (30) semester hour credits in any combination of the subject areas indicated above will be considered acceptable.
EXPERIENCE:
Four (4) years of experience in law enforcement, wildlife science, fisheries science, or environmental science, one (1) year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
NOTE: All U.S. degrees and transcripts must be from an accredited college or university. All foreign degrees and transcripts must be evaluated for accreditation by a recognized evaluation service by the closing date of this posting. Failure to provide documentation may result in ineligibility.
AGE:
Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
CITIZENSHIP:
United States citizenship.
TRAINING:
Appointees must have satisfactorily completed the police training course administered by the New Jersey State Police or other accredited police training academy certified by the Police Training Commission (PTC). Such training includes successful attainment of a level of proficiency in the use of firearms.
NOTE: Appointees to this position must successfully qualify semi-annually in the use of firearms.
MEDICAL/PSYCHOLOGICAL EXAM:
Candidates certified from the eligible list for this title will be required to undergo medical and psychological examinations administered by the appointing authority.
RESIDENCY:
Appointees must reside within the State of New Jersey.
License
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey.
Appointees may be required to obtain a motorboat operator's license issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission and a Boating Safety Certificate from a program approved by the New Jersey State Police.

The Security Specialist Journeyman level independently supports Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) security administration. The Journeyman Level Security Specialist performs security and administrative management of assigned SCI and SAP. The Journeyman Security Specialist considers all aspects of security, to include personnel security, physical security, operations security, communications security, and associated oversight.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Journeyman Security Specialist shall provide daily support to the appointed Special Security Representative (SSR) or Government SAP Security officer (GSSO) to fully implement all applicable enhanced security policies and procedures.
The Journeyman SS shall perform Visitor Control duties by greeting and documenting all visitors according to facility security procedures, including but not limited to customers, tour groups, base public works, inspectors, and maintainers. The Journeyman SS shall monitor and control access to facility(s) and restricted areas under their responsibility by checking personnel passes, Common Access Cards (CAC) and validating security clearances utilizing DISS or other security database systems and visit requests. The Journeyman SS shall maintain facility visitor logs.
Prepare and process visit request documentation packages.
Perform visitor escort duties for assigned facilities and events and support the coordination and training of additional escorts as required for each event.
The Journeyman SS shall support document control and document configuration management activities.
Support data entry and maintenance of a variety of security databases.
The Journeyman SS shall support Personnel Access Request /Access nomination processing.
Support the classification, handling, transport, and destruction of classified/sensitive information.
Support the creation of Standard Operating Procedures, Facility Check In - Check Out procedures, Fixed Facility Checklists, Security Education and Training Awareness materials, OPSEC Plans, Security Classification Guides, and other applicable security documentation.
The Journeyman SS shall provide classified meeting support to include, but not limited to, coordination, facility preparation, attendee clearance validation, presentation material classification validation.
Support program access list preparation and maintenance.
Support the generation and maintenance of program security documentation.
The Journeyman SS shall support self-inspection activities including but not limited to, checklist preparation.
Support media control and inventory functions.
Support the processing, inventory, and control of COMSEC.
Support the performance of physical security inspections.
Support the preparation of documents and performance of indoctrination and debriefings.
The Journeyman SS shall support foreign travel tracking and monitoring.
Support facility security management duties including but not limited to key / control management, facility security inspections and assessments, alarm response including implement receipt/dispatch as applicable, and maintaining Intrusion Detection System and other facility security systems operability.
The Journeyman SS shall support the preparation and submission of all required TEMPEST documentation.
The Journeyman SS shall maintain DISS accounts to perform all personnel security functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Ability to provide clear, concise, and accurate written and verbal communication.

Minimum/General Experience:
