This position reports directly to the Application Security Manager and focuses on safeguarding critical applications, databases, and infrastructure using CA's mainframe security software (ACF2, Top Secret, or RACF).
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in mainframe security administration, a deep understanding of role-based access control, and proven experience ensuring compliance with enterprise and industry security standards. Primary Responsibilities
* Administer ACF2 access controls for TSO (ISPF), application data, and system files, including JCL and program libraries
* Develop and maintain ACF2 rules based on authorization requests from agency security officers
* Configure access for datasets, DB2 databases, IMS databases, transactions, LDAP, CA-Scheduler, and JES2 services
* Manage user groups and provisioning, including additions, modifications, and removals
* Perform security product testing and upgrades
* Maintain documentation for product usage, procedures, and security configurations
* Install and manage digital certificates, perform re-certifications, and handle password resets
* Monitor and review access violations; generate reports on user access and rule changes
* Perform rules library backup and restoration; support ongoing security education and compliance efforts
Required Skills & Experience
* Hands-on experience with ACF2, including creating security profiles, user-ID administration, and password resets
* Experience with Top Secret or RACF (highly preferred)
* In-depth knowledge of information security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
* Strong troubleshooting skills in production mainframe environments
* Knowledge of z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, TSO, IOF, JCL, IOCP/HCD
* Familiarity with monitoring tools such as TMON, Mainview, OMEGAMON
* Experience with automation and development tools (COBOL, REXX, JCL, PROCS, CTLCARDS)
* Database experience with IMS and DB2
* SSL certificate management experience
* Understanding of role-based security models and enterprise-wide security administration
* Familiarity with CA Scheduler, Workload Automation dSeries, or equivalent scheduling tools
* Knowledge of file transfer protocols such as FTPS and Connect:Direct
* Exposure to Rational tools (ClearQuest, ClearCase) and PeopleSoft PeopleTools is a plus
* Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to adapt quickly in large-scale government or financial environments with evolving security requirements

Responsibilities:
Ensure proper signage and logging of all visitors and contractors.
Monitoring of the CCTV is a very intricate role of the security staff.
Every officer must be physically able to conduct interior patrols of the location. The patrols should be conducted as directed in post orders.
Building Patrols consist of walking all interior sections of the building and should be done at the request of the Staff or after an incident.
Making sure that all exits doors are in working order and lock any doors that have been left unlocked. Document which doors were not locked and the time it was secured.
Officers should walk through all hallway areas, staircases, and document anything noticed.
Report all incidents and report to Management.

The Campus Safety Officer position operates under the direction and supervision of the Director and Assistant Director of Campus Safety. As a per diem role, officers are called in as needed to backfill full-time positions, provide event coverage, or offer additional support to the department. Job Duties
Conduct routine patrols of university buildings and campus grounds.
Monitor dormitory access to ensure entry is restricted to authorized individuals.
Inspect doors, windows, and gates to confirm they are properly secured.
Issue warnings for rule violations such as loitering, smoking, or carrying prohibited items, and remove individuals engaged in suspicious or criminal activity.
Check equipment and machinery for signs of tampering or misuse.
Remain vigilant for irregularities, including fire hazards, leaks, or unsecured doors, and document incidents in written reports.
Observe departing personnel to prevent theft of university property.
Activate alarms or notify the police/fire department in response to fires or unauthorized access.
Document incidents involving property damage, unusual occurrences, or equipment malfunctions for supervisory review.
Manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow at university entrances and other key areas.
Provide security coverage for major events such as Commencement ceremonies and concerts.
Enforce campus parking regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid NYS Driver's License preferred.
One to three years of relevant experience and/or training.
Experience in non-profit organizations, preferably within higher education institutions.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and judgment skills.
New York State Certified Security Guard.
New York Fire Department Certified Fire Guard (F-04).
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and be on-call for emergencies as needed.
Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability and decision-making authority.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
Requires moderate physical exertion, with employees standing for most, if not all, of their shift, including extensive walking and standing.
Position demands mobility and may involve climbing, crawling, stooping, or working in awkward positions as needed.
Regularly lifts or moves heavy parcels, machinery, and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Requires manual dexterity and coordination for more than 50% of the work period.

Your Role as a Protector:
Monitor property while utilizing the tools and technology of a GDBA Command Center

The Campus Safety Officer position operates under the direction and supervision of the Director and Assistant Director of Campus Safety. As a per diem role, officers are called in as needed to backfill full-time positions, provide event coverage, or offer additional support to the department.
