Duties Summary

Specialized Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible work experience in the enforcement of security laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the protection of personnel and property.
Supervisory Experience: One (1) year of supervisory work experience which included: 1) planning, organizing, scheduling, and directing the work of others; 2) assigning and reviewing their work; 3) advising them on difficult work problems; 4) training and developing subordinates; and 5) evaluating their work performance.
Guard License: Applicants must possess a current, valid State of Hawaii Security Guard License at the time of appointment.

The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu's only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women's center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state's first retina center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai'i that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician.
The Security team provides security, information, directions and escort service to patients and staff as needed, while adhering to policies and regulations regarding safety. As Security Officers patrol Pali Momi facilities, they are often the first to meet and greet our clients, which positions the community's experience at our facility in a positive way. The Security team plays a vital role in creating a sense of safety and security throughout our hospitals, which is important to our patients and their families.

+ Establish, maintain, and enforce security regulations and procedures to protect personnel, network, information, property, assets, and revenue from fraud, theft, and misuse.
+ Develop investigative plans, analyze documents, conduct interviews, write complex memoranda, create and maintain case files, develop crisis management and contingency plans, conduct risk assessments, provide security awareness training and conduct fraud analysis.
+ Investigate improper, illegal behavior, violations of the Code of Business Conduct, theft, etc., and report facts to management and/or law enforcement
