Monitor security cameras and other electronic surveillance systems.

The Cleared Armed Security Officer will perform testing and other inspection services related to access control, including routine inspections, and testing of alarms, locks, doors, monitoring systems, and other access control mechanisms.
Prevent the theft of physical or intellectual property.
Assist in promoting communication and awareness of data center security policies to client employees, vendors, contractors, and others.
The Cleared Armed Security Officer will maintain standards of Armed Security Officer competency, conduct, appearance, and integrity, including compliance with PGI and the Client's Code of Conduct and Uniform Policy
Execute and deliver various reports assigned by the Site Manager
Complete and maintain pre-assignment, client, State, and PGI sustainment training as directed.
Assist in collateral duties, including but not limited to armory and security equipment maintenance tasks.

Required Qualifications:
Must have a High School diploma or GED.
A minimum of one (1) year of security, or one year of local, state, or federal law enforcement experience; or a minimum of two (2) years of honorable military service, active or reserve, in any branch of the US Armed Forces
A minimum of 21 years of age
Ability to complete Arizona Security Guard License, including the application process, fingerprints, and background investigation.
Ability to complete a firearms training course in compliance with Arizona DPS Security Guard License and conduct regularly scheduled sustainment training.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and periodic random drug screening throughout the duration of employment.

Job Summary
The Maricopa County Community College District Police Department invites highly motivated and professional law enforcement candidates to a new and exciting opportunity as a collegiate Police Officer - Lateral.

* Directs traffic and/or parking activities; enforces motor vehicle operation and traffic regulations; assists motorists with vehicle problems
* Performs crowd control and civil emergency response duties

* Trains and directs the work of non-certified Public safety Aides and other Public safety personnel

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and the successful graduation from an AZPOST certified training academy.
Note: Applicants who possess an AZPOST certification but have not completed a probationary period with a previous agency may be considered for hire with a positive recommendation from their previous chain of command at the rank of Commander or higher.

* Possession and maintenance of a valid Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (AZPOST) certification as a Peace Officer in the State of Arizona, including the satisfaction of all qualifications (age, citizenship, background, psychological, ethical, medical, or otherwise) required for such certification, at the date of or subsequent to the date of hire. A valid certification is to indicate that the individual is authorized to engage in enforcement duties, carry a firearm, wear or display a badge, make arrests, perform patrol functions, and operate a marked police vehicle. Certifications that are restricted are not considered valid for the purpose of initial hire.
* Possession and maintenance of a valid State of Arizona Driver License (Class D) with an initial and ongoing driving record to the satisfaction of MCCCD.
* Current CPR/First Aid certification is required for the duration of employment within this classification.
Background Check: Because of the confidential and sensitive nature of information handled, successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation, which may include, but is not limited to, polygraph testing, fingerprinting, and a psychological examination to the initial and ongoing satisfaction of MCCCD is required.
Firearms: Positions within this classification have frequent exposure to firearms and are regularly required to carry a firearm. Incumbents must successfully complete initial and ongoing firearms qualification in compliance with AZPOST requirements. Such qualification will occur on an annual basis or on another schedule, in compliance with any applicable laws, rules, or regulations, as determined by MCCCD. Incumbents must maintain the legal ability to carry and utilize firearms in the course of their duties at all times during employment within this classification.
Substance Abuse Testing: Due to the nature of police work, positions within this classification shall be subject to pre-employment, ongoing/random, and/or incident-based alcohol, drug, and/or controlled substance testing in compliance with any applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

To assist in providing for the security and protection for student, staff and property at assigned site; to gather information to resolve security issues and determine appropriate response; to convey information and provide written support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist campus security officer in the performance of their duties; report problems to campus security officer
* Observe and monitor student lunch areas, bus areas, restrooms and student/faculty parking lots
* Patrol hallways, entrances, parking lots, and school perimeters
* Enforce school rules and policies
* Check identification and monitor visitor access
* Secure entrances and exits during school hours
* Coordinate with local police or school resource officers as needed
* Build rapport with students to encourage respectful behavior
* Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
* Complete incident reports when necessary
* Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools
Required Qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with youth and public preferred

* Successful completion of security training program prior to the end of probationary period
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
* Typically works in elementary, middle, or high schools-indoors and outdoors
* Frequent interaction with students, staff, and sometimes parents or visitors
* Constant presence in hallways, cafeterias, entryways, and school grounds
* Generally during school hours, but may include early mornings, evenings, or school events
* Extended periods of walking and standing, often on hard surfaces.
* Ability to move quickly in response to incidents; frequent climbing stairs or patrolling multiple floors
* Occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25-50 pounds (e.g., barricades, emergency supplies)
