Scheduling Expectations The scheduling parameters and expectations for a flex officer are different from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post. As a flex: You will be trained at various posts and /or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment. Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need. You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs. Some of your shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week's schedule. Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift. You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within the availability described on this sheet. Job Skills / Requirements Immediate Opening for a Full-Time Loss Prevention Officer Job Description: * Identify and Apprehend Shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV Cameras * Report Writing * Interacting with local Law Enforcement as needed * Provide Courtroom Testimony as required Job Requirement: * Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening * Must be able to obtain state required PERC prior to employment * Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time * Reliable transportation * Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently * Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means * Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports * Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation * Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision * Attendance for scheduled shifts.
