We are seeking a highly qualified Residential Security Agent to join our team of dedicated professionals. PAY TRANSPARENCY:
$44.50 per hour + $5.05 health and welfare
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide armed protection for personnel, facilities, and assets in accordance with company policies and client requirements.
Conduct roving patrols, access control, and perimeter security to prevent unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, or safety hazards.
Monitor and respond to security systems, alarms, and surveillance equipment.
Screen and process all visitors, ensuring compliance with security procedures.
Identify, investigate, and report suspicious activity or safety concerns.
Maintain detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with law enforcement, emergency responders, and site leadership during incidents.
Apply de-escalation techniques and exercise sound judgment when responding to disturbances or threats.
Adhere to all use-of-force policies and maintain weapons in a safe and responsible manner.

QUALIFICATIONS
Be a citizen of the United States of America.
Be at least 21 years of age. While there is no maximum age limit for RSA positions, all applicants shall be able to withstand the physical demands of the job and be capable of responding to emergency situations.
Be a high school graduate or have a General Educational Development (GED), or equivalency.
Be able to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
Possess a valid, unrestricted (except eyeglass wear) state driver's license.
Possess one of the following qualifications:
a minimum of three years of military experience, or;
a minimum of one year of sworn law enforcement or armed contract security guard experience providing services similar to this contract requirement

Responsibilities:
* Review policies, directives, instructions, guidance related to Industrial Security (INDSEC);
provide suggested changes and update current DCSA policies as directed by the DCSA
INDSEC Program Manager.
* Review Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Statements of Work (SOW) to ensure
compliance with industrial security verbiage.
* Using National Industrial Security System (NISS) verify and track Facility Clearance (FCL)
status related to DCSA Acquisitions efforts. Provide updates regarding any changes to FCL to
INDSEC Program Manager.
* Using National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Contract Classification System (NCCS)
draft, review, and revise DD Form 254s as directed by the INDSEC Program Manager.
* Monitor and update the DCSA Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS)
ServiceNow, and other systems as directed.
* Track metrics for the DCSA Director's KPI Reporting.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in area related to the position
* TS/SCI Clearance
* 3 years of experience conducting personnel security, with at a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
* Experience with reviewing policies, directives, instructions, guidance related to Industrial Security (INDSEC)
* Using National Industrial Security System (NISS) verify and track Facility Clearance (FCL) status related to DCSA Acquisitions efforts

As the Security Officer, you will conduct routine patrols of entire property ensuring the safety and security of our guests. Perform protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances and threats to life and property to maintain a safe and secure environment. Observe and report any discrepancies.
Responsibilities
* Knowing the complete hotel facilities and layout including emergency procedures.
* Spend majority of shift on foot patrol, walking, climbing stairs of the interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions. Requires verbal communication using pager and two-way radio, bending, stooping and kneeling as in performing CPR.
* Patrol interior hallways and public areas ensuring safety of guests and property.
* Prepare routine logs of status of patrolled areas.
* Prepare security incident report and notify appropriate managers when an incident occurs.
* Escort guests when asked to parking lot areas and assist with luggage if needed.
* Respond to guest questions regarding the hotel. Know the lay out of the hotel including all suites, meeting rooms and all outlets' location and hours of operation
* Report and/or follow-up on any complaints, problems a guest may experience in a timely and professional fashion to ensure a quality guest experience.
* Attend emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel's guests, staff and company assets.
* Memorize and monitor life safety system installed at property including layout of entire building, alarm pull stations, location of fire extinguisher and sprinklers.

Security Officer Full-Time (In Training) Introduction: George Washington's Mount Vernon is seeking flexible, highly motivated, and punctual individuals for Full-Time Security Officers in the Security Department. Compensation:
Hourly range starts at $18.00/ hour with an increase after completion of SCOP training.
Expected Hours:
40 hours/week
Position Specific Responsibilities of Security Officer:
* Maintain a professional security presence and provide customer service at assigned "posts" throughout the estate
* Assure the safety and security of visitors and staff
* Take immediate action when necessary to prevent criminal activity, damage, injury, or interference with estate operations

Minimum Qualifications for Security Officer:

* Ability to pass a thorough background investigation with the Fairfax County Police Department for SCOP is required
* Valid driver's license with clean driving and police records required
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to speak clearly and concisely with guests, on the phone, and using a radio system
* Experience in writing detailed, well-written incident reports
* Demonstrated customer service skills required
* Ability to remain calm, think clearly, quickly assess and evaluate situations, and respond promptly in emergency/stressful situations
* Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays.
* Special Requirements for Security Officer:
* May be required to stand or walk for extended periods of time
* Must successfully pass all background investigations and training requirements

This role operates across a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, including historic buildings, public spaces, and secured areas. The environment may require patrolling in all weather conditions and can involve periods of high activity or long periods of surveillance.
Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods, sometimes over uneven ground. The employee must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and maintain clear communication via radio or in person.
