Assist in the testing of security barriers and systems to ensure operability to meet plant and NRC requirements of security related equipment. What We're Looking For: Education: High school diploma/GED. Work Experience: At least 1 year experience in military, law enforcement or security OR 2 years of nuclear industry experience where work is performed within the Protected Area. Other Requirements: Must meet 21 years of age minimum requirement in accordance with State Security Guard Licensing for Armed Officers and 10CFR73, App B requirements. Must meet all assigned requirements of the Cook Nuclear Plant's Physical Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, approved site procedures and/or State requirements. Must pass medical and psychological exam, and pass a physical agility test. Work safely in a nuclear, industrial and radiological environment. Directs visitors, patients, and employees to appropriate location(s), and intervenes to prevent and control patient, visitor, and/or employee disturbances. Two to three years of industrial or health care security experience with evidence of training in laws of arrest, detention, and rules of evidence. Some criminal justice, police administration, or related field of education combined with one to two years of industrial or health care security. Two years of military police experience and one year of industrial or health care security experience. Knowledge & Skills * Requires current license to carry a handgun in the State of Indiana or currently employed as a Law Enforcement Officer. * Requires the successful completion of an initial basic firearms safety and training course, followed by a minimum frequency of an annual handgun proficiency qualifications course. * Requires knowledge of general surveillance techniques and closed-circuit television; the "rights" of citizens regarding search, seizure, investigations, and detention. * Requires maintenance of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. * Demonstrates the interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact with employees, patients, visitors, law enforcement agencies, and others, and to complete appropriate paperwork. * Requires the computer knowledge necessary to accurately prepare incident reports, forms, and complete other functions and services. Coordinate the investigation of criminal cases and violations involving hunting and fishes. Warn or arrest persons violating the laws and issue tickets to violators. Responsible for maintaining close, continuous surveillance of all gaming areas and the entire property, in order to protect life and property at the casino. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Monitor all areas of the casino property to identify potential security and/or safety risks and report them to the appropriate individual or entity for proper resolution. Must maintain confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established company policies and procedures and PBGC Gaming Regulations. Develop knowledge and understanding of Surveillance CCTV equipment, to include camera location scheme, and effective camera recall.
