GDIT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO). This position will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system and as such, works in close collaboration with the ISSM and ISO. The position shall have the detailed knowledge and expertise required to manage the security aspects of an information system and, in many organizations, is assigned responsibility for the day-to-day security operations of a system.
How an ISSO Will Make an Impact:
* Support the ISSM to define, create, and maintain the documentation for certification and authorization of the Air Defense Communication Service (ADCS) system in accordance with requirements.
* Assess the impacts on system modifications and technological advances.
* Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
* Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate security risks.
* Monitor security logs and alerts for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
* Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure security requirements are integrated into all phases of the system development lifecycle.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
* Participate in security audits and assessments conducted by internal and external parties.
* Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Reports To: Director of Safety and Security
Summary/Objective
Security Officers will strive to maintain a safe and secure environment at the Emerald Grande/HarborWalk Village. This position is accountable for securing the property, loss prevention, assisting guests and employees, responding to incidents, medical emergencies, and lost and found items.
Principal Responsibilities: These include, but are not limited to:
Respond to calls: Respond to calls from on-duty staff, guests, visitors, customers, employees, and tenants. Immediately respond to situations that occur on property. Disperse disorderly individuals. If necessary, call Law Enforcement with all incidents involving criminal activity. Must be able to safely operate a motorized vehicle.
Patrols assigned area: Discourage disruptive or disorderly behavior in a non-aggressive manner. Be aware of hazards to the resort and report them immediately. Foot patrol the entire resort and HarborWalk Village/Marina areas.
Perform various public relations activities: Assists owners, guests, visitors, and employees with any problems within appropriate guidelines. Assisting in locating lost vehicle, missing person(s), provide medical care/assistance up to the appropriate level of training. Providing escorts to vehicle or other locations on property.
Performs various tenant relations activities: Conducts walk through of tenant space to assist in the deterrence of criminal activity, such as shoplifting, walking tenant employee(s) to vehicle. Distribute correspondence to tenants from the various management staff (Association Manger, Marketing). Periodically contact tenant personnel to establish good working relations.
Communication of incidents and activities occurring on property: Immediately notify the Manager of Safety and Security of all major incidents/situations that may cause a negative reflection on the company. Accurately complete various incident, accident, personal injury, and other reports for all situations that occur on property in accordance with policy. Must be able to use a two-way radio properly.
Ensures Routine Equipment Maintenance: Performs proper accountability, safety, cleanliness, and preventive maintenance checks of all equipment.
Respond to Request for Support and/or Assistance: Provide support and/or assistance to all departments, co-workers, owners, guest, visitors, and tenants of Emerald Grande and HarborWalk Village as tasked by management. Contribute 100% to the total team effort to implement projects or special events, and achieve or exceed management's goals.

Availability
The Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village is open and operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Employees are required to be available to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays. The expected shift schedule for this position is 3:00-11:00 p.m.
License Requirements
Valid driver's license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.
