TCM needs a Scheduler. This scheduler must have experience in scheduling staff previously. Must have the ability to work independently as well as directly with the Owner & Patrol Supervisor, have amazingly great time-management skills, organized planning and strategic abilities, technologically fluent with cell, email, calendar, scheduling, phones and computers. Will be required to maintain an Armed Security License. Must be able to stand &/or walk for extended periods of time - outside or inside, hot or cold weather, and understand all that is involved with scheduling & managing a large staff of 75+ that work 24/7/365. The Scheduling Manager, along with the Patrol Supervisor, are responsible for overnight call-outs, patrol vehicle issues, etc...and will alternate your on-call nights as to have a proper and necessary family/work life balance - again making this a position for someone who understands shift work, and being able to function at a high level during all hours of the day or night. This is not a straight dayshift position, it is very much alternating hours.
TCM provides professionally trained Security Officers for all needs (Full Time, Part time, nights, weekends, Holidays, emergency coverage, temporary and long term contracts, etc...). Security Officer positions are responsible for safeguarding the facilities, including checking buildings and equipment are secure and checking for suspicious activity as well as report any suspicious activity to property owners and/or Law Enforcement if necessary, while the Supervisor's job is to make sure that the officers' needs are being met with the proper equipment, are wearing the proper uniform, right place, right time, etc.. and will be put into the position to cover in an officers absence with little to no warning.
All hired personnel are required to follow all Washington State RCW's for security laws, TCM's policies and procedures, and provide written documentation to their supervisors of any event when required. Hired personnel must have the capability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, when applicable, for each position. All hired personnel are required to maintain a professional uniform appearance, natural hair color, no facial piercings or gauged ears while on duty, and possess a smart phone for time and attendance recording and communication. POSITION PURPOSE
The On Call Security Officer fills shifts as needed, serving in an on call capacity often on nights and weekends. The On Call Security Officer supports the program of Security at Whitman College by patrolling the campus during the designated shift and dealing with emergency situations and potentially uncooperative people in a calm, responsible manner. This is a temporary position.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1) Patrol and inspect the buildings and grounds to maintain security from fire, theft, illegal entry, property damage, or unauthorized use of buildings. Maintain security log during shift.
2) Respond to emergency situations using good judgment about approaching subjects or contacting the police.
3) Ensure that doors and windows are locked. Reports needed repairs and safety hazards to the proper authority.
4) Ensure fire alarms and burglar alarms are in proper working condition.
5) Supervise student security personnel during designated shift.
6) Perform first aid care when needed.
7) Adhere to safety rules and precautions in all phases of the work and while driving College vehicles. Identify potential safety hazards and reports them to appropriate people.
8) Always carry required equipment furnished by Department while on shift.

In an adult correctional facility, Correctional Officers provide safety and security, and assist in controlling, directing, and monitoring the activities and movement of incarcerated individuals. This includes maintaining security of the institution and controlling movement into, out of and within the institution in accordance with established department methods and procedures.
Correctional Officers are expected to be a positive role model and work with the incarcerated individuals to help them become productive members of society from the day they arrive under supervision. Correctional Officers use interpersonal skills and good communication skills to correct and counteract criminal thinking while maintaining safe confinement environments for the individuals to pursue a successful re-entry into communities.
