The selected candidate(s) will patrol campus and investigate complaints and violations of State laws and local ordinances. This person also develops and implements preventative patrol techniques and performs specialized duties to deter crime and promote effective safety and security practices. * Master Officer I: Positions at this level are fully functioning officers with a minimum of 6 years of experience as a sworn local, state, or federal law enforcement officer, have attained their Intermediate Certification, and have their high school diploma or GED. * Master Officer II: Positions at this level are fully functioning officers with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Master Officer (9 years total in law enforcement) have attained their Intermediate Certification, and have their high school diploma or GED. * Master Officer III: Positions at this level are fully functioning officers with a minimum of 6 years of experience as a Master Officer (12 years total in law enforcement), have attained their Intermediate Certification, and have their high school diploma or GED. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or GED from an appropriately accredited institution and 6 years experience as a sworn local, state or federal law enforcement officer. Current certification from NC CJETSC as a commissioned police officer or certification eligible within the specified timeframe is also required. The selected candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills and deal with the public and representatives of the criminal justice system in a professional manner.
