As a Security Officer - Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc. What's in it for you: * Location: San Jose, CA * Set schedule: Full time & part time, 16 - 40 hours per week * Saturday - Wednesday, 10:00pm - 6:30am * Thursday / Friday, 10:00pm - 6:30am * Competitive hourly wage of $28 / hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!) * A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, disability coverage, and life insurance options * Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld * Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities of Surveillance Security Operator - GSOC * The individual will work in a GSOC setting assisting the GSOC manager with any tasks assigned to them during their shift * The Operator will be in an environment monitoring several screens * The Operator will use a variety of tools that range from access control and alarm monitoring systems to various business intelligence sources, open-source media, Internet, and in-house tools * Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner * Investigate alarms and respond by sending security patrol, or alerting Fire services or Police as needed * Conduct investigations using numerous applications to confirm or deny any accusations or events reported to the Global Security Team * Have the ability to multitask under stressful or intense circumstances * Support the GSOC Manager in the completion of necessary tasks * Excellent customer service is always your top priority. * You observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location. * You provide rapid response in critical situations. * You're good with reading and writing detailed reports. * You know when and how to enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards. Qualifications of a Surveillance Security Operator - GSOC * You have a state security license and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process) * MUST have at minimum two years of GSOC experience * Must have experience creating and issuing badges * Must have experience using a variety of different systems * Please include your most up to date GSOC resume * Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED * Be authorized to work in the U.S. * Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process * Strong report writing skills * Good eyesight and excellent abilities to maintain focus * Strong proficiency with technology * If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience - even better!
