Salary Level 6 Full-Time Non-Exempt Typical Hiring Range: $27.34/hr. to $34.47/hr. *Based on being scheduled 1,982.50 hours per year (Primary Function) This is skilled firefighting work in combating, extinguishing and preventing aircraft, structural, ground equipment, and other fires: in answering emergency calls, and in operation and maintenance of fire department equipment, apparatus and station facilities. Work involves training for and participating in duties of protecting life and property by firefighting and rescue activities. Lieutenants are required to participate in the operation of apparatus and the performance of hazardous tasks under such handicaps as smoke and cramped surroundings. Although firefighting and rescue work are the most difficult and responsible areas of activity, the major portion of time is spent on routine duties in the care and maintenance of fire department property and equipment, training and studying methods, techniques and organization. Specific orders and directions are given by the Battalion Chief or Fire Chief, but the work requires initiative and a thorough individual understanding of firefighting methods. Responsibilities (Essential Functions) • Responsible for leading and mentoring personnel under their command and ensuring compliance with rules, regulations, and orders of the chief officers. • Respond to a variety of rescue calls to include aircraft rescue, medical, high angle rescue and confined space rescue. The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store. Other responsibilities include: preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting your apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement and testifying in criminal and civil court actions. The Asset Protection Specialist must report any hazardous or unsafe condition to the Manager on Duty and carry out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. They must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
