Performs Electronic Security System (ESS) support work that is moderately complex in nature. Provides first and second-level security system user support both on-site as well as through remote computer network access to applications. Assists with the implementation, evaluation and usage of new security technologies. Performs basic ESS administration and troubleshooting of communication problems as they affect security systems. Responsibilities: Apply broad knowledge and experience in multiple security disciplines (Personnel, Information, Physical, Industrial, and classification management) to develop, enforce, analyze and interpret security policies under the guidance and direction of AFC HQs Command Security Manager and Special Security Officer Ensure all security discipline programs (INFOSEC, INDSEC, PERSEC, OPSEC) are adequate to protect classified and sensitive but unclassified information in accordance with the HQ AFC protection benchmarks Understand all related policies, programs and procedures for DoD Security Tasks related to Industrial, Personnel, Information, and Physical Security disciplines. The Contractor shall be appointed as, and perform as, a Special Security Representative, handling SCI related functions, such as VARs, INDOC Asst. coordination, and JWICS 2875s routing in conjunction with, and under the supervision of, the AFC HQs Special Security Officer Provide personnel security support, assisting with background checks, clearance processing, and security access validation Conduct security training sessions and workshops for AFC personnel to ensure awareness and compliance with security protocols and assist in developing and updating Security Classification/Declassification Guides Participate in security working groups, DoD security briefings, and interagency security coordination meetings Support the command SSO or SSR by processing personnel background investigations for special security clearance actions. Receive/validate incoming clearances and accesses; pass clearances and SCI accesses; prepare Visit Authorization Request (VAR) and Permanent Certifications Maintain electronic records in security management databases, tracking personnel access, security violations, and clearance investigations. The Contractor shall assist in collateral and higher access and badge procedures. The Contractor shall manage security incident reporting, ensure investigations are conducted, findings are documented, and mitigation strategies are implemented Review/process foreign travel/contact requests and verify/vet foreign visitors. The Contractor shall suggest, implement and monitor compliance with special security policies and procedures Coordinate, develop, and implement local SCIF Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Emergency Plans (EP), policies, and guidance, including the preparation of SCIF documentation required for accreditation. Ensure SCIF integrity through alarm monitoring, management, and auditing of the access control system. The Contractor should maintain access codes, spin-dial combinations, intrusion detection system codes and keys for SCI Facilities/doors Under the direction of the SSO, coordinate with applicable stakeholders for SCIF accreditation/certification for classified IT Conduct Semi and Annual IDS testing and USAdirected Security Review; Annual Self-Inspections, SOP/EP reviews and EP testing. Maintain access process to authorized SCIF users; maintain access control roster. In this role, you will assist the client in helping to protect their business travelers through global travel risk monitoring, analyze threats to mobile assets, conduct comprehensive on-the-ground security assessments, manage scenario and crisis planning, and optimize escalation processes. Your primary focus will be the Americas with the requirement to cover and travel to other regions as needed. The role will involve up to 50% travel, including to medium and high-risk destinations. You will be responsible for managing security vendors, conceptualizing and delivering innovative projects to improve the travel security function, and producing high-quality briefings. This is a hybrid role with standard hours of 9 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday, requiring to work at the client's Austin office three days per week.
