The Security Engineering Program (SEP) under Homeland and Force Protectionat Leidos currently has an opening within the Professional Services Support (PSS) Program for a Site Security Specialist with a TS/SCI clearance. The Site Security Specialist will directly support the customer and be committed to protecting classified information, assets, and secure spaces. The candidate will serve as a security team member and will directly interface and collaborate with key leaders and customers. Specifically, the candidate will safeguard all assets and information and process/manage SCIF access control requirements and visit requests. This position will provide site escort to uncleared vendors, offer security training, and oversee the implementation of security policies and procedures within the facility.Areas of emphasis are physical security, information security, OPSEC, and verification of clearances/accesses.The Site Security Specialist will be required to interact with and provide security support to senior DoD officials. Other duties may be assigned as needed. The position is at a customer site in the Sacramento, CA, metro area.
Basic Qualifications
+ Must possess a minimum of a TS/SCI clearance
+ Minimum of eight (8) years of U.S. government experience in the areas of Physical Security and Information Security, with some Personnel Security (PERSEC) and Operations Security (OPSEC).
+ Bachelor's degree in a related area or an additional 2 years of experience.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of ICD 705, the NISPOM, and applicable Manuals, Directives, policies, and procedures.
+ Hands-on experience in physical security assessments/inspections and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)/Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) security requirements.
+ Must be an expert in managing the day-to-day security operations of a SCIF.
+ Excellent communication (both oral and written), organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
+ Computer literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.

+ Experience as a Facility Security Officer

1. Be available to respond to any calls for service, preserve order, protect property and residents.
2. Check all lodges, roadways, inner and outer community property lines, sports complex (upper and lower) and the ponds.
3. Act as a liaison between fire, EMS, or law enforcement to assist in keeping the residents safe and secure.
4. Issue citations on behalf of the HOA for vehicles parked on the street or in other areas after hours.
5. Work with local law enforcement to discourage or remove trespassers/transient persons from the property as needed.
6. Periodically patrol the trail system through use of a bicycle or motorized golf cart

This position is under the direct supervision of the Site Supervisor for assigned shift of the Security Department and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of property, personnel, customers and all visitors.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Duties include but are not limited to performing security patrols on foot and while operating a motor vehicle.
* Open and close rail gates only after approval is received from post management personnel, if available.
* Complete train and/or vessel arrival and departure reports.
* Check perimeter fencing to ensure that it meets all criteria listed in the post security plan.
* Check all facility doors and gates to ensure they are secure and pose no security or safety threat.
* Direct traffic in all areas as directed.
* Investigate and document all perimeter alarms.
* Transport visitors as needed, including operation of the shuttle bus.
* Open and close doors as needed.
* Relieve other guards as needed.
* Complete daily activity log, noting areas of concern and incidents that occur.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 18 Years of Age or Older;
* High School Diploma or Equivalent, Security or Law Enforcement experience preferred;
* Must maintain a valid California BSIS Security Guard Registration ("Guard Card"), Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
* Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures;

* Must be able to work in rotating shifts, days, evenings, and nights.
