    Job title: Security Officer (Unarmed) Multiple Positions and shift hours available Unarmed security officer services are to be provided at various facilities and the surrounding areas to include Northwood Village, Pleasant City, and others. Officers will perform security detail as outlined in the post orders. Security officers will perform job duties with a constant awareness of surroundings, making note of activity that takes place in the assigned area. Security Officers must maintain a professional image and always demonstrate excellent customer service. Special Considerations: Officers must be willing and able to work in challenging weather conditions to include heat, cold, wind and rain. Officers will be exposed to these weather elements as they are performing their job duties and standing for extended periods of time will be required at certain posts. Responsibilities: Report for duty on time and in full uniform Ensure the safety and security of property, employees and residents. Security Officer will communicate with the local Police Department and any other entity pursuing the same objective. Security officers must have knowledge and be aware of the surrounding area where security officer services are being performed. Operate checkpoint screening equipment to include x-ray system and metal detections Communicate via the use of two-way radio and cell phone. Complete daily logs, generate reports as needed, communicate with clients and the public Observe and report suspicious or unusual situations to immediate supervisor and law enforcement when necessary and be proactive in identifying and reporting potential problems. Perform periodic patrol at required facilities and parks and register patrol on electronic monitoring devices. Mobile patrol provides visible uniform security presence, inspection of streets, public alleyways, sidewalks, vacant lots and vacant and occupied buildings for any security concerns, remaining alert to observe and report suspicious or unusual situations to law enforcement when necessary. Enforce Park rules, report any suspicious activity, vandalism, theft, unruly behavior, any abandoned unserviceable vehicles, etc. Requirements: • Must have High school diploma or equivalent • Shall be 21 years of age or older • Must maintain physical health consistent with demands of performance • Must have Class D Security License • Must be able to speak and write in detailed English • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation. • Prior experience in X-ray system, HHMD, CCTV systems, or access computer systems. • State Officer license is required. • Pass a regulated drug test (where required). • Must have clean driving record (for certain job duties) Skills/Abilities: • Work with a sense of urgency. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • A security officer is, to be honest, alert, and well-disciplined as the custodians of employee and customer property and safety. • Constant and dedicated vigilance. • Strong customer service skills, exemplifying Andy Frain Services Mission Statement. • Ability to be a hands-on, results-oriented employee, handling multiple priorities simultaneously • Ability to facilitate progressive change, work as part of a team, and follow directions. Verifiable similar experience in a large, service oriented environment. Working knowledge of pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations.
