Provides a positive role model for students and develops and promotes positive relationships with students. Responsibilities:
Enforce Student Conduct and Discipline Code and other school rules and regulations; administer warnings to students or refer them to building administrators for disciplinary action as necessary to maintain a peaceful environment.
Monitor visitor access to ensure only authorized persons enter to maintain a safe and secure campus.
Assist law enforcement and District Security with enforcement of school District policies on controlled substances and mitigation strategies to promote a drug-free school environment.
Secure campus after hours, with a limited ingress point being monitored, using the door alarm system, and checking doors prior to leaving the building.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Watch for disturbances, fights, unauthorized visitors, or criminal activity. Assess danger and call for assistance if necessary; intervene to halt or prevent fights, disturbances or other incidents and diffuse threatening or confrontational situations between students or others to ensure order is restored and students are unharmed.
Monitor and supervise students' activities at assigned locations in the building and/or on the grounds and enforce parking regulations, issue verbal warnings, written warnings or parking summonses as appropriate to promote a safer learning environment.
Work collaboratively with all school staff, including Athletic Director and coaches after school hours, to include visitor management and door monitoring.

Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Director of Safety & Security, the Security Specialist is responsible for patrolling the Denver Center for the Performing Arts complex, screening building visitors, observing and reporting incidents, maintain the safety and security of all DCPA property, individuals and patrons.
The Security Specialist is expected to be onsite support evening performances and events. This position provides guidance while troubleshooting and resolving security issues. Maintains all security equipment to ensure proper working conditions, including camera, points of entry, and control access. Maintains and operates the assigned post, protecting the facility assets while ensuring the successful production of events.
The Operational scope is that of multiple sites (two office buildings; one multi-use live theater complex comprised of four theater spaces; warehouse; one ballroom/events center, and 42 residential condominium units).
Primary Responsibilities
Demonstrates personal commitment to the organization and provide continuous, quality work.
Demonstrate safe work practices and attitudes, follows safety rules, works to prevent unsafe conditions and behaviors, and participates in organization and departmental safety programs.
Patrol buildings, grounds, and report incidents on campus to the Director of Safety & Security or the Team leader.

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities Security Detail:

Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Director of Safety & Security, the Security Specialist is responsible for patrolling the Denver Center for the Performing Arts complex, screening building visitors, observing and reporting incidents, maintain the safety and security of all DCPA property, individuals and patrons.
The Security Specialist is expected to be onsite support evening performances and events. This position provides guidance while troubleshooting and resolving security issues. Maintains all security equipment to ensure proper working conditions, including camera, points of entry, and control access. Maintains and operates the assigned post, protecting the facility assets while ensuring the successful production of events.
The Operational scope is that of multiple sites (two office buildings; one multi-use live theater complex comprised of four theater spaces; warehouse; one ballroom/events center, and 42 residential condominium units).
Primary Responsibilities
Demonstrates personal commitment to the organization and provide continuous, quality work.
Demonstrate safe work practices and attitudes, follows safety rules, works to prevent unsafe conditions and behaviors, and participates in organization and departmental safety programs.
Patrol buildings, grounds, and report incidents on campus to the Director of Safety & Security or the Team leader.
Required to assist in an emergency preparedness and be a conduit to our Crisis Management Team and Emergency Responders in the event of an emergency.

Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Director of Safety & Security, the Security Specialist is responsible for patrolling the Denver Center for the Performing Arts complex, screening building visitors, observing and reporting incidents, maintain the safety and security of all DCPA property, individuals and patrons.
The Security Specialist is expected to be onsite support evening performances and events. This position provides guidance while troubleshooting and resolving security issues. Maintains all security equipment to ensure proper working conditions, including camera, points of entry, and control access. Maintains and operates the assigned post, protecting the facility assets while ensuring the successful production of events
The Operational scope is that of multiple sites (two office buildings; one multi-use live theater complex comprised of four theater spaces; warehouse; one ballroom/events center, and 42 residential condominium units).
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities Security Detail:
Demonstrates personal commitment to the organization and provide continuous, quality work.
Demonstrate safe work practices and attitudes, follows safety rules, works to prevent unsafe conditions and behaviors, and participates in organization and departmental safety programs.
Patrol buildings, grounds, and report incidents on campus to the Director of Safety & Security or the Team leader.
Required to assist in an emergency preparedness and be a conduit to our Crisis Management Team and Emergency Responders in the event of an emergency.
Answer all emergency calls, including but not limited to medical emergencies, personnel safety, theft, and fire; contact emergency agencies as needed; develop and maintain a positive working relationship with executives, staff, patrons, local law enforcement and fire officials.
Ability to keep records and utilize computer to complete and maintain all paperwork related to public safety including incident reports, theft, injury reports and reports on unsafe or hazardous conditions.
Operate public address system in the event of an emergency and assist the Director of Safety & Security or Team Leader in identifying high risk areas and initiate actions to reduce risk exposure.
Provide safety escorts to various locations on campus.
Oversee lost and found property and procedures.
Secondary Responsibilities
Keep up to date with developments in training methodology and security issues in public serving and educational spaces.
Responds to and handles non-emergency requests such as door openings and closings, personal safety, and security checks.
Observes activity using CCTV to enforce DCPA rules/regulations.
Assists any persons in building or on grounds needing directions or information.
Follow the direction of the Director of Safety & Security.
Qualifications
Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in security or related field is required.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate and work closely with internal departments and external entities.
Ability to exercise good judgment and work under pressure. Capacity to effectively, and continuously work with sensitive information.
Able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.
Working knowledge and experience with common office computer systems, database, and spreadsheet utilities. Working knowledge and experience with electronics, PCs, networks, communications devices, alarm devices, sensors and systems, door hardware, video surveillance equipment.
Will be required to obtain Denver Security Guard License as well as CPR/1st Aid training and other assigned safety and security-related training.
Ability to work effectively in a team-based multicultural environment.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Working Conditions
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, photocopier and filing cabinets. Job is ambulatory within all facilities, requires working in office settings, public spaces, and construction zones. May be on-call after regular business hours in emergencies. Must be able to work in adverse weather.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and consistently communicate over the phone, email and in person throughout scheduled shift. The employee frequently is required to move around the facilities and work environment, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. May be required to stand or sit for long periods of time. Ability to respond to incidents throughout various locations in a timely manner. A portion of time may be spend lifting, moving, and holding items up to 25 pounds.
