Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Operations Manager, the Security Specialist is responsible for patrolling the compound, monitoring surveillance systems, controlling access, identifying suspicious behavior and enforcing security policies. Responsibilities MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: + Primary duty will be internal security compliance within the CCEP compound and facility. + Observes and monitors the CCEP to ensure compliance with implemented security policies and procedures. + Reports suspicious activities, loss, improper practices, damage or destruction of Government or Company property to the V2X Maintenance Operations Manager. + Initiates or assists with reports on investigations, inspections and incidents as directed by the V2X Maintenance Operations Manager. + Comply with DA Physical Security of AA&E, AR 190-11 and other DA Regulations. + Complete daily log of all activities utilizing DA Form 1594. + Perform other duties as assigned. MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: + Desktop Computers, Multi-line Telephone, Two-Way Radio, Multi-Functional Devices, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Banding equipment and related items. + Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective mask, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: + Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. + There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. + The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: + Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Walking and standing for extended periods. + Maintaining focus during long periods of monitoring and patrolling. + The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: + Highschool diploma or equivalent. + Must pass criminal background check. + Must be able to pass the standard background check. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a tier one level clearance (NAC-I). + Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. + Valid Driver's License without restrictions. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: + Preferred experience - four (4) years knowledge of the Department of Army physical security regulations. + Experience with conflict resolution. + Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism. + Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels. + Ability to work independently, highly collaborative environment. + Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels. + Excellent observation skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. + Ability to notice details and identify potential security risks. + Basic understanding of digital video recording equipment. + Strong attention to detail and observational skills. The ideal candidate will hold the expertise, experience, skills, and necessary credentials to support instructional and OE support services for the Combat Advisor Training Course. The candidate will provide leadership and support to a variety of PWS task areas that include: Instructional Support delivering the Combat Advisor Training Course (CATC) programs of Instruction IAW the Army validated and TRADOC TOMA-approved course document, training materials, and adult learning methodologies. Support includes updating and revising Learning products IAW TRADOC regulation 350-70 and its associated Pamphlets. Operational Environment (OE) Support Services include providing OE training development support that includes develop, revise and maintain learning products, scenarios, and training material to facilitate the development and understanding of the OE. Scenario and product development. Scenarios and learning products will typically focus on training at the battalion and below level. Emulator support includes providing emulation services that allow for the ability to train and rehearse under realistic conditions that are part of a complex environment that realistically portray a range of individuals and environment, which are typical of a specified region or location. Our Operational Environment Support also includes establishing and portraying the designated operational environment needed to support the scenario training objectives.
