**What You'll Contribute**
The Principal Specialist, Corporate Security will be responsible for supporting the execution of security protocols and ensuring adherence to security policies and procedures. The receptionist/security officer will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Greet guests, employees and staff with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and well attended. Answer and direct incoming calls efficiently, providing accurate information and forwarding messages as needed. Manage visitor check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring security protocols are followed. Issue visitor badges and maintain a log of all visitors for safety and accountability. Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and support team objectives. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving reception services.
**What You'll Do**
+ Assist in the enforcement of corporate security policies, protocols, and procedures.
+ Support the execution of security measures, including access control systems, surveillance systems, and physical security protocols.
+ Review Logbook, Temporary Post Orders and Revisions to Original Post Orders sections of post orders.
+ Review any equipment and keys (if any) and ensure that it is in good condition.
+ Monitor access control & VMS.
+ Maintain a daily Security Officer Report and save in the guard force shared drive.
+ Answer lobby desk phone and provide customer assistance.
+ Issue visitor, contractor, and temporary access badges. Screen all visitors.
+ Contact the Security Operations Center (SOC) for customer request approvals (desk unlocks, etc.)
+ Maintain visitor logs.
+ Assist with basic inquiries and provide information about the company services.

Key Responsibilities

Prepares and maintains accurate statistical records of number, type and disposition of cases.

Job Requirements Applicants must have education, training, and experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: 1. Applicants must possess at least one of the following:
A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university, OR
Four years of work experience within the court system involving case management, social service, case processing, or direct customer service, OR

The hours the successful candidate will work either straight days or straight overnights including weekends/holidays as per a two week rotating schedule. Summary Statement Delaware Psychiatric Center (DPC) Jane E. Mitchell (JEM) Security Officer Supervisor is tasked with overseeing a staff of 10-20 security personnel. Security personnel provide security and safety for the (42) male and female clients from the Department of Correction (DOC) and 80 staff at JEM. The JEM building is a 24-hour, 3 shift staffed facility. The federal government's Bureau of Prisons uses a numbered scale from one to five to represent the security level of prisons and jails. Level five is the most secure facility in the Criminal Justice System. Description of Occupational Work
This class series uses three levels in the Protection and Security Services occupational group, Support Services occupational series and describes work providing protection and security services to staff, clients, and the general public within a level 5 secure state facility which houses mental health clients.
Work includes monitoring and ensuring the security and safety of state property, staff and visitors. Client behavior can be combative and unpredictable. Significant aspects of the work involve the possibility of dealing with crisis and/or emergency situations including the use of physical restraint, foot patrol of the resident units, conducting room/building searches, and monitoring clients in a day hall setting during meals and in group activities. It is important to note that employees work under the direction of clinical staff and while they are trained to recognize unusual or abnormal behavior, security officers do not provide clinical observation or services.

: This career ladder series incorporates the Forensic Security Officer I and II. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification and/or credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Maintain accurate records of visitor and contractor check-ins and check-outs, and document any security-related incidents.
Communicate professionally with staff, guests, and emergency personnel as needed.
Assist with emergency response activities, such as initiating evacuation or shelter-in-place procedures when appropriate.
Support Allied Universal management with reporting and documentation requirements as related to front desk activities.
Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

This position qualifies for a $500 signing bonus. $250 will be issued after the first 30 days and 80 hours worked. The remaining $250 will be given after the first 90 days and 240 hours worked.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining, and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
Maintain a constant vigilance to ensure the safety of patrons employees and company property.
Responsible for maintaining a professional demeanor.
Enforce and adhere to Delaware Park Policy and Procedure.
Responsible for enforcing security procedures at all assigned posts.
Assists in the transfer of monies from one area to another.
Patrol grounds in security vehicle as assigned.
Displays a courteous and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with the public and Builds Rewarding Relationships.
Knowledgeable and actively promotes company marketing and promotional events and is proficient in answering guest questions.
Communicate (both written and verbal) with and promote positive team member and guest relations.
Maintain professionalism at all times when working with other team members and/or guests.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Previous Security experience is preferred.
Must be able to successfully complete and maintain the background check and licensing process, required by the Delaware Lottery during employment.
Valid driver's license required.
Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Act with discretion and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Must be able to wear and appear comfortable in the assigned uniform provided by Delaware Park.
Must be able to sit, walk and/or stand for an eight (8)-hour shift without difficulty.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 lbs. and kneel, squat, and/or grasp as needed.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Zone assignments covering large areas with long walking distances, Work areas could have high volumes, diverse clientele, noise, music, minimal and/or bright lighting, and variation of climate control.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management is mandatory.
Must be able to handle all types of guest-related situations; relay all guest compliments and complaints to department management.
