Position Summary
The Security Supervisor supports the Safety and Security Manager with daily oversight of
security operations across The Underline. Responsibilities include supervising contracted
security personnel, assisting with incident response, ensuring accurate reporting, and
reinforcing safety protocols that create a secure, welcoming environment for visitors. The ideal
candidate has experience in public space security, strong communication skills, familiarity with
security technology, and the ability to lead contract guard teams. This role collaborates closely
with operations, maintenance, horticulture, and community engagement teams.
Essential Functions
· Supervise daily activities of contracted security personnel throughout The Underline.
· Ensure guard posts are staffed, patrols are completed, and procedures are followed.
· Assist with implementing and maintaining safety protocols for a linear park environment.
· Monitor park activity, respond to incidents, and ensure accurate documentation and
reports.
· Provide on-site support during emergencies and coordinate with public safety agencies.
· Conduct guard performance evaluations, quality assurance checks, and equipment
inspections.
· Train and mentor guards in emergency procedures, report writing, de-escalation, and
visitor engagement.
· Assist with security planning and staffing for special events.
· Support and monitor security equipment including CCTV, communication devices, and
Deggy systems.
· Report operational issues and incident trends to the Safety and Security Manager.
· Uphold and model all Underline policies and procedures.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
· Minimum 18 years of age; legally authorized to work in the U.S.
· High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security/public safety certifications
preferred.
· 3+ years of security experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
· Experience in parks, public spaces, or urban environments is preferred.
· Experience supervising or working with contract security personnel preferred.
· Knowledge of CCTV systems and Deggy patrol systems strongly preferred.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills; clear incident reporting ability.
· Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and engage professionally with the public.
· CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Proven ability to build strong relationships with law enforcement, city officials, and

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Track submission status, deadlines, and approval history in the licensing portal.
· Ensure 100% adherence to brand style guides, logo usage rules, color standards, placement specifications, and prohibited design elements.
· Review product physical samples from global licensees for compliance including checking product, trims, labeling, and packaging against the licensee agreement and brand quality benchmarks.

Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree required.

1. Detects and responds to safety hazards to ensure safety of employees and visitors.
2. Provides physical inspections and investigation on campus to ensure a safe environment.
3. Conducts security and safety audits to ensure that hazards and dangers are identified.
4. Conducts accident and injury investigations on campus to ensure proper record keeping of incidents.

Your Role as a Protector:
Monitor property while utilizing the tools and technology of a GDBA Command Center
