You will promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards. You will need to understand and comply with DSI and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions. You will participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures, as well as DSI's safety manual. You will be interacting with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner. This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills. You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements. Pre-employment requirements are to be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record. You must have reliable means of transportation and means of communication. Other responsibilities include: preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting your apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement and testifying in criminal and civil court actions. The Asset Protection Specialist must report any hazardous or unsafe condition to the Manager on Duty and carry out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. They must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
