Responsibilities

Additionally, the Public Safety Investigator will continue to support the department when investigator duties are not required by patrolling assigned areas of the campus to include but not limited to offices, buildings, and/or parking areas, and reports via telephone or radio. The Public Safety Investigator acts to protect persons, property, prevent fires, theft, vandalism, disorder, and damage to college property.
This is a Public Safety union position as stated in the Public Safety collective bargaining agreement. Grade level III.1) Investigate all Title IX cases as assigned by the Title IX Coordinator or their designee.
2) Investigate all cases reported to the Public Safety Department as assigned and work in coordination with Human Resources and Student Support, as well as outside law enforcement agencies.

* Must be able to spend extended periods standing, walking and climbing stairs. Must be able to maintain a vigorous working pace.
* Answer telephones and communicate using portable radios and base station radios in compliance with department and FCC standards

* Operate department identification card equipment, issue ID cards and parking stickers
