RECIPIENT RIGHTS OFFICER Under the direction of the Hospital Director, the Rights Officer will assure the agency operates a Recipient Rights System that is in compliance with the Michigan Mental Health Code (P.A. 258 of 1974, as amended), particularly Chapters 7 and 7a: 1) Receive reports of, and investigate apparent or suspected violations of rights 2) Act to assist recipients of mental health services in obtaining resolution of complaints, and act on behalf of recipients to obtain remedies for apparent violations 3) Otherwise endeavor to safeguard the rights guaranteed by the Mental Health Code through activities of prevention, monitoring and education of the agency and its staff. This position is for a Manufacturing Security Officer and focuses on delivering the security strategy and industry best practices across manufacturing facilities. Provide on-site support to the manufacturing team, assisting with security and fire operations for the plant to include access control, CCTV monitoring, fire inspections, and emergency support. Assist with special projects and security initiatives, including GAO audits, AON fire inspection audits, daily plant walks, etc. Ensure monthly fire tasks are completed and documented. Enforce Security and Fire manual, bulletins, and protocols to ensure compliance. May perform the role of Incident Commander for emergencies. Will to support the company Emergency Response Team are required. Respond to emergency incidents to include medical, behavioral, fire, trespassing, accidents, suspicious activity, thefts, etc. Escalate appropriately to the Security Team Lead and/or Regional Security Manager. Enhance emergency response capabilities by utilizing incident response tools and through the deployment of emergency response equipment for the company or local municipalities. Reports to: Facilities Manager / Property Management Team Part-Time The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across all Communities First, Inc. (CFI) properties. This position supports CFI's mission by protecting staff, residents, and property assets from harm or unauthorized access. The Security Officer will monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, respond to incidents, and report suspicious activity. This role includes both foot patrol and vehicle patrol duties during evening, overnight, and weekend hours. Essential Functions: Patrol CFI properties, including interior and exterior grounds at designated intervals Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access control systems Respond to emergencies, disturbances, or alarms in a timely and professional manner Complete detailed incident reports and document security concerns Assist in enforcing building rules, visitor policies, and safety procedures Support staff and residents during emergencies (e.g., fire drills, lockdowns) Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed Lock and unlock facilities according to schedule Attend safety and de-escalation training as required Ability to communicate effectively with consumers Ability to de-escalate conflicts with tenants or patrons Possess a high level of integrity and character Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required At least 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or public safety preferred Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods Familiarity with de-escalation techniques and reporting protocols Ability to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days) JOB CODE: 2025-11
