Wage Range: $28.39 - $43.63 Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. Job Summary:
Performs a variety of duties involving safety, security, emergency management, and related activities. The security coordinator is directly accountable for providing security systems oversight as well as functioning as point of contact and superuser for the security systems. Additionally, this position performs the same work as others in the Security Officer and Lead Security Officer classifications.
Primary Duties:
* Administers the Uniform Code of Regulations (UCOR) security systems to include implementing agreed upon design for new system installations/office buildouts, acceptance testing of hardware, programming, and maintenance along with oversight of the third-party systems integrators.
* Maintains physical security systems data, documentation, and program content on the team's security systems.
* Manages UCOR's access control system by performing audits of badge records, clearances to sensitive areas, programming of hardware and alarm events, etc. Coordinates and verifies the necessary access levels for UCOR's personnel.
* Implements security technology strategies and solutions with a focus on scalable growth, automation, and optimal business outcomes.
* Creates and maintains the life cycle management plan for security equipment and sustains working inventory of system specifications and equipment.
* Develops training materials and facilitates training workshops for the EvergreenHealth security team on current software and emerging technologies.
* Conducts ongoing functionality testing of security systems and associated hardware to ensure proper coverage and operation. Identifies malfunctions, troubleshoots, and works closely with vendors to resolve these and any break/fix issues.
* Works with IT to identify how security systems are impacted during maintenance windows. Performs system validations as needed.
* Provides direct oversight to the physical security team ensuring completion of projects, preventative maintenance schedules, and physical security systems oversight.
* Provides security for the hospital's patients, visitors, staff, and employees, enforces rules against both employees and non-employees, protects hospital property and responds to requests for service and emergency codes.
* Performs all job duties and accountabilities of the Security Officer and Lead Security Officer positions.
* Acts as an advisor to the physical security and stakeholders and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
* Provides physical security program support functions including updating program management reports and tracking the progress of open and on-going initiatives.
* Supports security exercises and testing.
* Leads physical security Projects as required.
* Assists with and performs physical security audits and inspections.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
* High School graduate or equivalent
* 5 years of experience in security or related training /experience
* Current Washington State Driver's license
DESIRED for the position:
* 1 year of experience in Hospital Security, Police, Military Police, Correctional Officer, or related field

About the Role

Responsibilities:
Execute and improve ongoing security and IT services such as phishing simulations, change management, and reoccurring audits.
Respond and investigate security incidents and alerts by conducting audits, investigations, and log reviews.

Update and maintain security controls in cloud admin portals such as Azure, M365, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
Complete application security reviews for new software solutions and application requests from employees.

Core Competencies
