Job Description
The Residential Monitor is responsible for monitoring the ongoing operation of the Transitional Housing Program and facility to always ensure adequate supervision and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain the overall security and operational control of the facility.
Maintain chronological written records of events that occur during the shift and document any unusual occurrences in the facility logbook.
Complete statistical reports, daily census reports, incident reports and additional reports or forms deemed necessary.
Monitor resident and visitor movements inside and outside the facility.
Control contraband in the facility through general observation; this may include conducting searches as directed by the Program Director.
Randomly tour the facility and grounds at least hourly to ensure a high level of security; document these rounds in the facility logbook.
Supervise the completion of daily chores by residents.
Ensure residents observe all fire and other safety measures.
Ensure all resident medications are stored in separate, labeled containers in a locked medication cabinet at the front desk. Control access to this cabinet, and ensure residents document the dosage they take in the medication log.
Participate and obtain certification in crisis management and first aid/CPR.
Answer incoming calls in a prompt and professional manner.
Immediately notify on-call staff of any emergency situations.
Assist in the serving of meals and maintenance of the facility as needed.
Comply with and enforce specified regulations and requirements as outlined in Volunteers of America's policies and procedures and the Transitional Housing Operations Manual.
Veteran Services staff are required to Shelter in Place for nonmandatory evacuation Hurricane threat
Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspects airline equipment and checks for any unauthorized items.
Screens cargo using equipment/method designated by customer and according to customer's specifications.
Performs aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding and gate guarding according to customer's specifications.
Observes and monitors unit activity and facility surroundings when not performing inspection/validation duties.
Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
Reports to Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager, depending on size of unit.
Activities overseen by Lead or Senior Lead, depending on size of unit.

· Patrol an assigned area and/or stands at a fixed post
· Perform security checks of buildings and grounds

· Conduct preliminary internal and criminal investigations relevant to incidents within an assigned area

· Erect and remove barricades, temporary signs, and other materials for parking and crowd management

4. A person who does not owe the state or local governing authority of the parish or municipality in which the company is located any delinquent taxes, penalties, or interest, excluding items under formal appeal or protest as provided by law.
5. Every person who has or controls directly or indirectly more than a five percent ownership, income, or profit interest in an entity which has or applies for a license in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter, or who receives more than five percent revenue interest in the form of a commission, finder's fee, loan repayment, or any other business expense related to the private security business, or every person who is an officer or a director of the company, or who has the ability, in the opinion of the board, to exercise a significant influence over the activities of a licensee authorized or to be authorized by this Chapter, shall meet all suitability requirements and qualifications for licensees.
