As a Deportation Officer (Course Developer/Instructor), you will perform the following duties:
* Modify training program curriculum and resolve complex curriculum related problems requiring considerable research to incorporate new concepts and innovations applicable to the mission, and submit course revision recommendations for review and use;
* Establish and maintain professional contacts with leading educators, trainers, practitioners, researchers, and others in education and training institutions, research organizations, and law enforcement programs;
* Provide expert advice and assistance in current instructional technology and adult education theories, principles and practices to students, fellow instructors or managers;
* Develop and maintain professional collaboration, coordination, and liaison with members both external and internal to the organization, including other agencies, co-workers, supervisors and managers; and
* Create and maintain documentation to ensure the training program meets with existing standards, and documents program operations in relation to these standards, program design, and existing policies and procedures.

Completion of Training: You must have successfully completed Basic Immigration Law Enforcement Training in accordance with 8 CFR 287.1(g) and other applicable agency policy. Deportation Officer Transition Program (DOTP). Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime (AUO): This position may require substantial amounts of irregular or occasional overtime. Managing daily operations within the SCIF and ensuring personnel working in or entering the SCIF are in full compliance with security standards as set forth in this SOP.
Posting the SCIF Access List on the interior of the SCIF entry door and coordinating any security container combination changes with the SSO Physical Security Lead.
Managing SCIF Access and ensuring all personnel with swipe access to the lab have submitted a SCIF Card Reader Access Application
Validating External Visitor SCIF Access to verify proper clearance eligibility and adherence to visit access request procedures for all-non-NIWC Atlantic visitors before granting access to NIWC Atlantic SCIFs.
Ensuring all visitors are documented in the NIWC Atlantic SCIF Visitor Log
Verifying the SCIF is sanitized before visits by individuals without SCI access.
Ensuring SF 701s, 702s and Visitor Logs are properly filled out and maintained as directed by the SSO.
Ensuring SF 700 envelopes are changed accordingly and properly stored within the Special Security Office security container.
Training SCIF Personnel on Open/Close procedures and actions required during alarm activations.
Conducting daily walkthroughs of the SCIF, looking for, reporting on, or correcting the following:
i) Ensuring good housekeeping standards throughout the SCIF to avoid inadvertent disclosure or loss of classified information, materials, and equipment.
ii) Building maintenance issues or problems (water leaks, furniture, lights, floor or ceiling tiles, insects, rodents, restrooms/breakrooms, etc.).
iii) Ensuring personnel using KVMs, headsets, headphones, speakerphones, co-location of non-SCI systems, and medical devices have approved requests or permit cards on file.
iv) Reporting issues with printers, DVTCs, or VTC suites to the HTS team, NMCI, or RDT&E help desk.
v) Reporting issues with unattended IS Media, systems/media not properly marked, and systems with compromised anti-tamper security tape, to the IS Media Security Team.
vi) Ensuring network cables in non-standard colors are marked at both ends with the appropriate classification levels.
vii) Ensuring Red and Black cable separation is always maintained in accordance with SCI ISSM & SSO TEMPEST Separation Guidelines.
viii) Reporting the discovery of mismarked or unattended classified/CUI documents to the SSO Information Security Officer.
ix) Ensuring information on “White Boards” is marked appropriately.
x) Ensuring classification signs and labels are posted on information systems and system racks, including system name, project name, ATO expiration date, and system POCs.
Reviewing Monthly After-Hours Access Reports, and providing justification to the SCIF Access Control Officer, for anyone that was in the SCIF outside of normal working hours.
Reviewing Quarterly Badge Reader Access Reports, and notifying the SCIF Access Control Officer, to remove individuals no longer needing access to the SCIF.
Notifying the SCI Physical Security Lead when Work Orders are submitted, proposed changes are requested to SCIF construction, perimeter wall penetrations, ventilation system, alarm system, phone system, paging system, or Information Systems, etc. are added or removed.
Ensuring all information systems equipment and associated copiers/faxes within the SCIF are marked to the highest level of classification processed.
Coordinating with the SCI ISSM to ensure all Information Systems are properly certified and accredited by the applicable Delegated Authorizing Official (DAO), to include network changes.
Coordination with the SCI ISSM Media Security Team to ensure: SCIF Media and Hardware Security:
i) Media Accountability:
(1) Ensure accountability for media entering or exiting SCIFs.
(2) Obtain SCI ISSM Media Security Team approval for all exiting media.
(3) Ensure all media movement is documented on the Entry & Exit Inventory Control form (Section 10, Figure 10-6).
ii) Hardware Control and Sanitization:
(1) Ensure all information systems equipment and network hardware movement is documented on the Entry & Exit Inventory Control form (Section 10, Figure 10-6).
(2) Ensure proper sanitization of all exiting Information System hardware (including DRMO items).
(a) Follow guidelines in Section 9, Reference 2 (NSA CSS manuals).
(b) Obtain TPI verification of sanitization. Verification must be performed by two individuals, one of whom must be a subject matter expert for the specific system hardware exiting the SCIF.
iii) Documentation Filing: The SSR is responsible for filing all documentation for SCI ISSM review.
Coordinating with the project teams to ensure prompt removal of equipment identified for DRMO (within 45 days).
Compiling and maintaining a SCIF Information Systems (IS) Master List of all staff and project's electronic equipment located in the SCIF, except for monitors, keyboards, and mouse. Ensuring implementation of Information Systems (IS) suspension procedures on assigned systems when directed by the SCI ISSM office.
Immediately reporting suspicious or adverse Information Systems and/or user activity to the SCI ISSM office.
Inspecting SCIF destruction shredders for elongated paper pieces, indicating the shredder has missing or broken teeth, per manufacture specifications.
Ensuring COMSEC users are properly trained and qualified for the local COMSEC element and the project to be supported.
Verifying equipment and security containers are marked in accordance with marking requirements defined in the SCIF Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
Validating Courier Cards (for SCIF personnel transporting SCI information, materials, or equipment):
i) Verify courier cards are not expired.
ii) Ensure the authorization level on the courier card is equal to or greater than the classification level of the transported information.
iii) Confirm couriers operate within the approved geographical limits specified on their DD Form 2501.
iv) Verify accurate information is recorded in the NIWC Atlantic courier card tracker.
Reporting all unauthorized access, unauthorized disclosure, suspected loss or compromise of classified information, and/or failure to follow security procedures or any other suspected security incidents to the SSO for investigation.

As a Target SecuritySpecialist, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests at the front of store.
Promote a physical security culture for our team members and guests by assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store, including exterior property.
Respond to and accurately document security incidents in a timely manner.
Appropriately respond to guest issues to provide a safe and secure environment for our team members and guests.
Leverage de-escalation tactics and resources when responding to security incidents across the store.
Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed, strictly adhering to AP policies.

Submit appropriate documentation in the case management system for all incidents following AP policy and procedures.
Understand and appropriately use Target's video surveillance system.
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
