Temp Our client is seeking a qualified security-focused professional that can help our federal client achieve mission success through expert level risk avoidance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience leading IT security efforts for federal clients and be able to foster a corporate culture of IT security acceptance through interdepartmental relationship building. The candidate will be challenged to apply defense-in-depth techniques, including both process and technical based, on a daily basis securing National Security Systems. The Security Specialist is responsible for performing security and safety functions within a cannabis cultivation facility. As a Security Specialist, you are responsible for providing critical security and administrative support to management. Security Specialists may be cross-trained and asked to support other departments occasionally to meet business needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Check in all employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries. * Ensure all visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers sign in on the sign-in sheet. * Scan IDs and provide temporary badges to visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers. * Maintain all hard copy and digital logs of scanned IDs, sign-in sheets, and all facility logs. * Provide general support to visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers. * Review surveillance video of events and create/maintain event logs from all security systems. * Create new badge access cards for new employees, visitors, and vendors. * Alert management for required support on all security systems-skyline cameras, Strat security/fire alarms, and internet connectivity. * Coordinate delivery schedules and outgoing office shipments with management. * Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws. * Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). * Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the facility and production areas. * Immediately inform the Security Manager of any system discrepancies. * Document all activity using the company's track and trace system. * Work within company continuous improvement system and strive to increase productivity. * Check in and check out all van keys for drivers. * Give all cash to Human Resources or appropriate party for accounting. * Schedule weekly armored vehicle pickups for cash deposits from order fulfillment. * Ensure the door is locked during any time cash is out. * Coordinate with corporate's finance department to ensure all cash is accounted for. * Accept cash from all delivery drivers on every delivery and store in safe. * Perform other duties as assigned by management. SSI is seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to establish and manage our industrial security program in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable government requirements. This position is located full-time at SSI's Lakehurst, NJ facility, which is not currently a classified possessing site but may pursue a facility clearance and classified working spaces in the future. The FSO will be instrumental in standing up and maintaining all aspects of security compliance, including preparation for classified work. Job Responsibilities Security Program Development & Management * Lead the effort to obtain and maintain a facility security clearance with DCSA. * Draft and maintain Standard Practice Procedures (SPPs) and other required documentation. * Coordinate with government and prime contractor security representatives on contract security requirements (DD254s, visit requests, etc.). * Serve as primary point of contact for DCSA and other relevant agencies. * Manage personnel clearances (initiation, periodic reinvestigations) through DISS/NBIS. * Oversee Insider Threat Program and act as Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO). * Conduct required self-inspections and internal security audits. Physical & Information Security * Develop and maintain physical security controls to meet current and future classified requirements (access control, intrusion detection, badging, key control). * Support secure storage and classified holdings management if/when SSI becomes a possessing facility. * Prepare and respond to security incidents and reportable events. Security Education & Training * Develop and deliver initial and annual security awareness training for all cleared personnel. * Create and maintain a culture of security compliance and continuous improvement. Additional Duties * Support special security requirements such as COMSEC or CPSO responsibilities if future contracts require. * Liaise with local and national security organizations to stay current on policy and best practices. Position Qualification Requirements * Active Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain). * Minimum 3 years of experience as an FSO or similar role supporting DoD programs. * Thorough knowledge of NISPOM, CUI requirements, and related federal regulations. * Familiarity with DISS/NBIS and insider threat program management. * FSO Program Management for Possessing and/or Non-Possessing Facilities training (or ability to complete within 6 months). * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail and customer-service mindset. * Ability to work independently and interface confidently with senior leadership, government representatives, and contractors. * Willingness to be on-call for alarms or security incidents after hours as needed. The Journeyman Level Security Specialist performs security and administrative management of assigned SCI and SAP. The Journeyman Security Specialist considers all aspects of security, to include personnel security, physical security, operations security, communications security, and associated oversight. Duties & Responsibilities: The Journeyman Security Specialist shall provide daily support to the appointed Special Security Representative (SSR) or Government SAP Security officer (GSSO) to fully implement all applicable enhanced security policies and procedures. The Journeyman SS shall perform Visitor Control duties by greeting and documenting all visitors according to facility security procedures, including but not limited to customers, tour groups, base public works, inspectors, and maintainers.
