2nd Shift Security Officer
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a 2nd Shift Security Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe environment for guests and associates on company property, patrol and provide security for Kalahari property, enforce laws and company policies, and deter illegal activities from city, state and federal violators.

Key Responsibilities
Check in with the shift supervisor and/or manager-on-duty on arrival, review security logs and reports daily.
Patrol all lobbies, floors, common areas, associate areas, basement, and grounds of Kalahari Resorts.
If an incident requires a report or a statement, complete the necessary paperwork, and advise the shift supervisor or manager-on-duty when finished.
Provide the utmost in confidentiality with every action taken, verbally and written to protect the rights of guests, associates, and Kalahari Resorts.
What We're Looking For
Level 2 Security License is required.
CPR / AED Certification
Previous law enforcement or military preferred but not required.
General working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws.
Hotel or Resort experience is preferred.
Must be able to write, read, and speak English as a first language. Bi-lingual skills are helpful but not required.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Travel SecuritySpecialist to join an embedded travel security team within a global tech client. In this role, you will assist the client in helping to protect their business travelers through global travel risk monitoring, analyze threats to mobile assets, conduct comprehensive on-the-ground security assessments, manage scenario and crisis planning, and optimize escalation processes. Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Travel SecuritySpecialist to join an embedded travel security team within a global tech client. In this role, you will assist the client in helping to protect their business travelers through global travel risk monitoring, analyze threats to mobile assets, conduct comprehensive on-the-ground security assessments, manage scenario and crisis planning, and optimize escalation processes. Your primary focus will be the Americas, in particular Mexico, with the requirement to cover and travel to other regions as needed.
The role will involve up to 50% travel, including to medium and high-risk destinations. You will be responsible for managing security vendors, conceptualizing and delivering innovative projects to improve the travel security function, and producing high-quality briefings.
This is a hybrid role with standard hours of 9 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday, requiring to work at the client's Austin office three days per week. There may be occasional need to work out-of-hours during emergencies and time-sensitive matters.
Responsibilities
Conduct ground assessments in the Americas region, including in Medium, High or Extreme environments. Occasional travel to other regions on a periodic basis
Identify, assess and manage security vendors in the Americas region
Support on crisis response, with a focus on the Americas region, with a focus on Mexico
Act as a subject matter expert for client stakeholders, and briefing stakeholders on key developments, trends and context relating to travel security
Deliver cross-functional projects and security training that enhance the travel security program and services
Manage travel security data and identify trends
Produce high-quality written and verbal briefings
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrable extensive expertise in travel security and the local security environment within Mexico, and across the Americas region
Strong understanding of the travel security industry and demonstrable experience working in security operations within higher-risk environments, particularly in Mexico
Demonstrable expertise of producing high-quality written work and presentations
Strong project management experience and the ability to work cross functionally
Outstanding collaborative abilities, building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives

Scan checkpoint tokens to record property tours, document results via tour reporting software. Maintain 100% rate tour accuracy and completion
Write detailed and accurate daily reports of incidents or irregularities for submission to the customer; utilize mobile tour application for reporting, where available
Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the property's post orders; follow instructions as documented in the post orders
Remain alert for the presence of unauthorized persons, trespassers, and/or security violations
Approach suspicious persons, escort trespassers off property and call the police, if needed, following protocol for issuing a criminal trespass notice
Assist visitors and customers by answering questions and giving directions; maintain high level of professionalism and customer service
Exercise judgment and use discretion in dealing with emergencies and security violations encountered
Determine whether first response should be called to intervene directly (asking for assistance when deemed necessary and time allows), to keep situation under surveillance, or to report situation so that it can be handled by appropriate authority
