Responsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking a full-time, dedicated and experienced CPSO / FSO / ITPSO to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate should have a minimum 5 years of experience in CPSO/FSO security management, possess a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures. Responsibilities / Job Description Experience with Scattered Castles, DISS, NBIS and SIMS Responsible for developing, implementing, supervising, and maintaining a robust security program. The security program will protect information and operations commensurate with the level of classification of the program, e.g., collateral, SCI, SAP, or multi-level. Prepare and maintain accreditation documentation for the facility under his/her cognizance, including the diagrams, UL 2050 certifications, fixed facility checklists, compartmented area checklists, TEMPEST checklists, and mitigation plans. Perform aspects of personnel security to include nomination interviews, validation of access requirements, submission of investigative requests and nomination packages. Properly account for, control, transmit, package, and safeguard COMESEC information, and administer periodic software and cryptographical key updates. Process and maintain employee clearances, access credentials, visit certifications, badges, access control, document control, briefings, debriefings, security database records, and onboarding processes. Process Visitor Access Requests (VARs) and validate visitor clearances. Manage and ensure the security of classified programs, including personnel, information, and physical security, in compliance with regulatory requirements. Implement security measures to safeguard personnel, facilities, and information, adhering to the 32 CFR Part 117, “The Rule” (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs), and other relevant regulations. Build and maintain strong working relationships with government customers and internal teams, to ensure consistent security policies and practices across the organization. Provide guidance and oversight to defense contractors to maintain security integrity. Lead the preparation and successful completion of security inspections and audits by government agencies and internally (self-inspections). Implement corrective actions, when necessary. Monitor and ensure compliance with government and company security policies, particularly regarding special security programs. Ensure compliance with Facility Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and coordinate necessary maintenance. Provide guidance on physical security, industrial security, and contractor clearance processes. Prepare DD 254s. Collaborate on security education, awareness, and training programs. Investigate and track security incidents while implementing corrective measures. Lead special projects as assigned to enhance security operations. Duties * You will need to have experience building and providing security briefings including clearance indoctrination, foreign travel, security awareness, and refresher training to individuals and groups. * Maintain an advanced level of situational awareness regarding current SEI security matters as well as the evolving rules of engagement instructed by government security authorities and established government, CMU, and SEI policies and standard practices. * Experience in handling the production, storage and transmission of classified documents, media and materials. * You will be expected to prepare the required documentation for cleared personnel and process security clearance applications; working with the applicant and agency to resolve any problems regarding the application. * Establishes and maintains personnel security files for all SCI eligible personnel. * You will be responsible for self-inspections of the SEI Personnel Security Program, identifying and resolving issues prior to DCSA and other customer inspections. * Identify potential security incidents or violations, investigate and report to resolve any threat to classified information or deviation from NISPOM, DCID or ICD requirements is quickly contained/addressed. * Experience managing the inventory and maintenance of safes, locks, and closed area management. * May on occasion require after-hours and weekend duty or response to emergency situations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Demonstrates well-developed analytical, organization and problem solving skills; knowledge of general and security specific regulations, policies and practices. * Provide high level of support to both internal and external customers. * Skill to analyze data and situations, identify trends, summarize results, and make recommendations based on findings. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and relative Personnel Security systems such as DISS, e-QIP and other personnel security systems. * Maintain confidentiality of sensitive security records. * Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish goals and objectives. * Infrequent work in building construction areas. Work in access-restricted areas - SCIFs and server room installations. Desired Experience: * Professional training and certifications in Department of War National Industrial Security Program (NISP) including personnel security matters; Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) training including Understanding the Security curriculum. * Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) or Industrial Security Professional (ISP) professional certification. * Prior experience resulting in established liaison contacts with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and intelligence community. * Prior experience conducting background investigations for US Government agencies. * Handling SCIF construction and accreditation. * Experience with the Security Information Management System (SIMS) software application. * Applied knowledge of all aspects of the DoW National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and work in an SCI and/or SAP environment.
