As the Security Officer, you will need to think creatively and be comfortable interacting and servicing the ESU campus community which includes students, parents, employees, and affiliates. You will be an active member of the University Police & Safety team and will work closely with the Parking, Transportation & Security Manager to patrol the campus by foot or motor vehicle to issue parking tickets to illegally parked vehicles observed while on patrol. You will thrive in this role if you like combining your security background with your adaptability skills all while continuously communicating via written or oral with the team on all incoming security developments. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and alert in all conditions.
Your normal hours will be Tuesday through Saturday 6:00 pm to 2:00 am but you may have to flex your schedule from time to time based on the needs of the business to be a true Security Officer. When our team shows up for work, they are energized and motivated to succeed - all while being the most crucial piece to keeping the ESU operations humming.
What Will I Do At ESU? (AKA Essential Duties)
* Ensure the safety of campus community by patrolling on foot or motor vehicle.
* Monitor all university parking lots and enforcing parking regulations.
* Provides building security and access on campus.
* Utilize the parking computer program to issue permits to faculty, staff, and students to update or enter parking violations.

Basic Qualifications
High school or equivalent. Security Officer Level I shall be fully certified in approximately (80) task certifications. To complete CPR and first aid training, HP and GET training annually. Incumbents must complete all training and certifications as mandated by the Code of Federal Regulations. Medical certification, clearance authorization, psychological certification, first aid responder and professional rescuer CPR. Confined space rescue, industrial fire fighter certification. Yearly weapons certifications, yearly night qualification on all weapons, job specific certifications, and stringent physical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
This position works directly with senior leadership and across the entire organization. This position requires in-person work at one or more Sitemetric jobsites in the local area. Travel throughout the United States may be required.
Core responsibilities include:
Worker Registration & Badging:
Proactively monitor and manage access control compliance for everyone who enters and leaves the site. Work closely with the customer and Sitemetric team to understand and uphold site security requirements.
Badging Compliance:
Ensure that all personnel entering the site have their badges and are properly scanned in to verify their identity and maintain accurate worker headcount records for customers.
Parking Management:
Provide parking passes to appropriate personnel and monitor parking pass compliance across designated parking areas.
Visitor & Delivery Management:
Document all visitors entering and leaving the site and receive all deliveries, creating written documentation of the same for the customer.
Customer & Worker Support:
Provide support in all areas of access control including worker registration and badging, tech troubleshooting, visitor and delivery logs, and parking management.
Ad hoc responsibilities:
Assist with ad-hoc access control responsibilities to support our customers for one-time and ongoing access control needs.
Qualifications
2+ years of high-intensity customer service experience requiring maintenance of professionalism while dealing with ongoing pressure and complexity starting early in the day and often extending into later hours-such as in healthcare, hospitality, fast-food/quick-serve, military, and other fields
Ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers and colleagues
Detail orientation and ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities in dynamic work environment
Current VALID Driver's License required
This position requires a background check and drug screen
PREFERRED
1+ years of on-the-ground construction or industrial experience
Active pursuit of education through college or trade school
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Adaptable, flexible, and able to solve complex challenges within and outside assigned responsibilities

Additional Information
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and jobsite upon which work is being performed, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience.

Qualifications

+ Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients.
+ Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.

Cardinal Point Security Group is building a team of Security Officers who will facilitate a safe learning environment and keep students, staff, and faculty safe from violence.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and/or 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Schedule includes after-school, evening, and occasional weekend events as required.
