Under the general supervision of the Corrections Security Director, the Supervising Officer 2 performs highly responsible work with responsibility for the security, custody and control of Facility Residents in the institution's security program. Positions at this level carry major responsibility for supervision of security staff and facility residents on an assigned shift, providing security, discipline and order of the institution. Weekend security must also provide coverage for the evening shift. Performs other related duties as requested by the Maintenance Director. What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergency situations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for visitors and staff at the location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior or hazards. Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or management regarding security-related matters. Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
