TWO FULL-TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE. MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 7:30 AM TO 4:00 PM (SCHEDULED HOURS MAY VARY - SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED ON DEPARTMENTAL NEEDS).
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the care and maintenance of the building and grounds at 1729 Burrstone Road, Notre Dame Lane, and 615 French Road, New Hartford, and 117 Business Park Drive, Utica.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Must act as courier service if needed. Evening security, when requested by the Facilities Services Manager, must also provide coverage for the weekend shift and the evening maintenance worker. This may include pick-up of the bio-hazardous waste, autoclaving of instruments, opening/closing of the building and general pick-up to prepare for the next day's business. Weekend security must also provide coverage for the evening shift. Performs other related duties as requested by the Maintenance Director. Must be able to lift, carry, turn right or left with at least 50 lbs. Must be able to work overtime which could include mornings, evenings, weekends or holidays. During the winter months, weekend and holiday security is also responsible for the clearing of snow/ice and salting of entrances/sidewalks for staff and patients. Maybe exposed and responsible for the clean-up of hazardous drugs. Attends OSHA training upon initial employee orientation and annually completes an OSHA competency.
Performs such duties as making rounds throughout the building at various times to ascertain that all employees and SDMG property are safe and secure. To escort employees with daily cash up to the safe. To escort employees to their cars if requested. To maintain a sign in/out log of anyone in the building. Security personnel has the right to inspect any packages coming into or out of the facility and may challenge anyone at any time to ascertain the purpose for being in/on the premises.
RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS: Must maintain a courteous, safe and effective working relationship with physicians, staff, administration, and the general public. Must have sufficient knowledge of the area.
Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: Graduated from High School or completed GED requirements. Must have a good driving history with a valid New York State driver's license. Must be willing to submit to a background check. Mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and HVAC experience helpful

What You'll Do:
