    The Security Specialist is responsible for performing security and safety functions within a cannabis cultivation facility. As a Security Specialist, you are responsible for providing critical security and administrative support to management. Security Specialists may be cross-trained and asked to support other departments occasionally to meet business needs. This is a part time position at $20 out of our Rocky Hill (CTPharma) facility - depending on delivery route, likely 4 to 5 hours per day, 7am-Noon but may vary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Check in all employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries. * Ensure all visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers sign in on the sign-in sheet. * Scan IDs and provide temporary badges to visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers. * Maintain all hard copy and digital logs of scanned IDs, sign-in sheets, and all facility logs. * Provide general support to visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers. * Review surveillance video of events and create/maintain event logs from all security systems. * Create new badge access cards for new employees, visitors, and vendors. * Alert management for required support on all security systems-skyline cameras, Strat security/fire alarms, and internet connectivity. * Coordinate delivery schedules and outgoing office shipments with management. * Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws. * Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). * Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the facility and production areas. * Immediately inform Security Manager of any system discrepancies. * Document all activity using company's track and trace system. * Work within company continuous improvement system and strive to increase productivity. * Check in and check out all van keys for drivers. * Give all cash to Human Resources or appropriate party for accounting. * Schedule weekly armored vehicle pickups for cash deposits from order fulfillment. * Ensure door is locked during any time cash is out. * Coordinate with corporate's finance department to ensure all cash is accounted for. * Accept cash from all delivery drivers on every delivery and store in safe. * Perform other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications * Previous experience in security operations and procedures required. * Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment. * Willing to learn about, operate, and maintain facility equipment in a safe manner. * Have strong verbal and written communication skills. * Must be authorized to work in the United States. * Must be 21 years of age or older and able to successfully register with the state's cannabis commission as an agent. * Must comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Physical and Mental Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 10 lb. Able to stand for 90% of the time. Comfortable with heights, occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights, filters, trellis netting and ceiling fans up to 25ft. Comfortable working atop and traversing scaffolding, when required. Comfortable with changing environment temperatures and humidity. Exposure to pollen, dust, dander, and other nature elements. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. Coordinate with the operations, advance planning, and engineering departments to identify when shipments or sensitive evolutions are scheduled with the Motor Module. Ensure all required physical security safeguard requirements are met during Motor Module evolutions. Establish and maintain a clear understanding of security controls required for sensitive, classified, and NNPI material. Communicate with organizations on the identification and prioritization of item movements as they relate to security actions and requirements. Oversees access control and logistics for the Motor Module while on-board the sea shuttle and while moored at CTF or Electric Boat Facilities (Groton or QP).
