Job Title: Senior Specialist, Industrial Security (Active TS/SCI) Job Schedule: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off Job Description: The Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) is responsible for managing and directing all security-related operations for the assigned SAPF/SCIF. This role encompasses comprehensive oversight of security functions, including SAPF/SCIF operations, program support, information security, and specialized focus on personnel security (PERSEC) and physical security (PHYSEC). The CSSO implements all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on DoD SAP Manuals, 32 CFR Part 117, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other governing directives, as applicable. As a seasoned security professional, the incumbent demonstrates dedication and excellence while working independently and making critical decisions without direct supervision. Operating effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, the CSSO functions as a collaborative team player who exhibits flexibility, establishes priorities, and manages customer expectations. The position requires regular interaction with internal and external customers, as well as Government security officials, in the performance of security duties. The incumbent is also responsible for supporting and enacting all L3Harris corporate policies, including the protection of L3Harris' intellectual property. Essential Functions: • Maintain security program policies to ensure ongoing compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, IC, DoD SAP Manuals, and other requirements of all classified programs under purview. • Prepare Security Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlining customer guidelines and establishing procedures for the handling, storage, and transportation of assigned assets. • Conduct all security related employee briefings to include indoctrination, debriefing, courier, closed area, program access, CUI, OPSEC, Insider Threat, derivative classification, foreign travel, and routine annual security trainings. • Prepare and maintain Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) in accordance with ICD 705. • Implement DD-254 Security Guidance and ensure program compliance with contractual requirements. • Analyze and investigate security incidents and violations; prepare internal and external customer reports. • Conduct annual self-inspections. • Physical security duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining and changing combinations, access control systems, alarm accesses, secure area modifications and buildouts • Maintain PERSEC databases including TALON, JADE and SIMS. • Proficient in the use of TALON, DISS, JADE and SIMS Qualifications: • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance. • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Job Summary: Jacksonville Mall will be 3pm until 11pm on Fridays-Mondays. Provide security detail as outlined in the post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Security personnel will always perform job duties with a constant awareness of surroundings, making note of all activity that takes place in the assigned area. Security Officers must maintain a professional image and always demonstrate excellent customer service. Basic Functions: Control of entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Patrol of buildings and perimeters. Escort of material and personnel. Inspection of security and fire exposures. Special assignments. Responsibilities: Duties may vary depending on department size, organizational structure, geographic location and post assignments. Overall general function of officers is to provide security detail as described below (Note: duties may vary depending on post orders): Be on time and report to post in full uniform. Maintain professional image that includes greeting customers, visitors and employees in a polite and friendly manner. Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information distributed by the customer and AFS. Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position, being diligent to report any suspicious activity and investigate accidents and criminal acts. Monitor cameras or equipment in a continuous fashion as outlined in the post orders. Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulations to be able to respond to alarms, incidents and emergency situations. Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports and all relevant reports related to job assignment. Make recommendations to management on better safety and loss prevention processes as identified during daily routine. Have knowledge of any life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system computer, and other such equipment to complete job assignments. Ensure continuous and safe operation of all elevators and access doors. Know authorized contractor personnel who are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of equipment. Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and other agencies regulating the customer / market. Communicate on a daily basis with Security Supervisor any new Security Issues or changes that need to be considered or implemented. The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store. Other responsibilities include: preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting your apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement and testifying in criminal and civil court actions. The Asset Protection Specialist must report any hazardous or unsafe condition to the Manager on Duty and carry out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. They must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
