What will I be doing?
As a Security Supervisor you would be responsible for performing your position's responsibilities in alignment with our Spirit of Service culture and driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Supervise, schedule, and encourage Loss Prevention Associates by providing direction and equipment needed to accomplish their duties.
Respond to incidents and accidents and completes required reports to include statements from involved parties, including witnesses.
Assist with training of all Loss Prevention staff members on emergency fire procedures, lock system operation, response to all security issues, use of force, video camera operation, and fundamental escort procedures.
Provide training to resort staff in basic First Aid and CPR, evacuation, fire, and disaster procedures.
Deter and prevent employee theft by maintaining and developing policies and procedures, ensuring these guidelines are implemented.
Complete daily security reports for the Loss Prevention Manager and maintain accurate SDS labeling and records.
Ensure compliance of OSHA rules and regulations.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established and revised by HGVC from time to time is crucial to the successful performance of this position

Provide direct and general supervision to security staff in order to ensure effective and efficient security operations on assigned shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for this position.)

1. Oversees staffing, scheduling, evaluating, training, developing, monitoring and lead team membersin such a manner to maintain a positive employee relations culture. Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for team members.

2. Maintain, through supervision and direct observation, a continuous awareness of all property activity. Respond appropriately to any incidents and or service needs.

3. Ensure proper arrest procedures and detainment techniques are carried out in accordance with civil or company laws or procedures; assists various local, state, and federal authorities in various activities and investigations to ensure that procedures and laws are observed.

4. Maintain all current information on cheats, thieves, vagrants, etc. to ensure the protection of company assets, patrons, and employees; develops and maintains communications with law enforcement agencies and security personnel of other casinos to relay security information.

5. Resolve guest complaints and ensures that all areas of guest service are adhered to.

6. Provide support to departmental management in the event of troublesome terminations, thefts, investigations, and procedures as requested.

7. Oversees all occupational injury reports as needed, assuring that Horseshoe St. Louis maintains its procedures and liability issues.

8. Schedule training classes on various topics such as CPR, Fire Fighting & Response, First-Aid, and general security procedures to ensure the security and protection of assets, patrons/guests and employees.

9. Ensure that all Internal and External policy and procedures for Slot Department ,Table Games Department and Cage Department are correctly implemented and maintained, i.e., fills, credits, transfers, pit boxes, drops, Jackpots, etc.

10. Promote a safe and secure working environment.

11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license

• Must be able to maintain a valid Driver's License

• Demonstrated supervisor experience preferred

• Basic knowledge of civil and criminal law

Understand and comply with all requirements defined within company documents to include: Post and General Orders, plans, policies, procedures. Performing various day-to-day supervisory responsibilities including preparing shift scheduled, training replacement security officers, disciplining when necessary and reporting to proper chain of command. Ensuring security guards arrive on time and are prepared to begin work Observing the security guard's work habits, appearance, overall performance, and verifying applicable patrol. Protect personnel and property in a professional manner Meet and deal tactfully and politely with general public and visitors Effectively and efficiently screen and process visitors Identify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulations Conduct internal and external roving foot patrols Maintaining high visibility, answer routine questions for directions and handle minor problems. Detect and respond to alarms and emergencies Secure entrances and exits during emergencies Control keys and lock combinations Communicate and remain accessible via two way radio or company issued cellular phone Understand and comply with all requirements defined within company documents to include: Post and General Orders, plans, policies, procedures. Qualifications:



2 years supervisory experience Be able to successfully complete or have completed the state of Texas approved armed security officer training courses Must possess or be willing to obtain the required state of Texas permits and directives to carry a weapon and act as a commissioned officer Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent Must be a U.S. citizen or be legally authorized to work in the United States Must be mentally alert and capable of exercising good judgment, implementing instructions, and assimilating necessary specialized training. Must have the ability to speak, read and write the English language. Must have the ability to understand and carry out oral and written direction and write accurate and clear reports Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen. The screen must have the ability to detect the use of: marijuana, cocaine, heroin, amphetamines, opiates, and benzodiazepines.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.


Must be fully capable of performing the full scope of security work requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion under either normal or emergency conditions including prolonged walking, sitting, standing and running
