Iain Cooper is the Manager of Corporate Venturing at Schlumberger Limited since September 2007 in Mergers and Acquisitions Group in Houston, looking after early stage technology investments. Prior to his Current role Iain was the Manager of Product Development, Director of Research, Program Manager of Anadrill and a Research Scientist at Schlumberger Limited. Iain earned his B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Physics from University of Bristol and a Ph.D. in Meteorology from University of Reading. Iain is a Chartered Scientist and Fellow of both the Institute of Physics and the Royal Meteorological Society. Iain holds 17 granted patents in a range of oilfield technologies, and most recently co-authored and edited the textbook on Advanced Drilling and Well Technology.

Brendan Smith is a Chief Operating Officer at SeekOps Inc. and is based in Pasadena, California. He has worked as Mechanical Engineering Intern at Foxconn, Graduate Student Researcher at University of California Merced, and Graduate Intern at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Brendan studied at University of California Merced between 2013 and 2016 and University of California Merced between 2008 and 2013.
