Overview We are seeking a Venture Building Expert to join our Technology Commercialization Division (TCD). TCD's mission is to maximize value realization from Aramco technologies through internal and external Intellectual Property (IP) commercialization, to address the company's business and sustainability priorities. Be well-versed in startup methodologies, startup development process, and financing options. Have a proven track record in discovering, validating and scaling new startups in a deep tech environment. Experienced in business development and commercial partnership management. Product development experience, from concept to delivery of new products and services. Overview We are seeking a Network Engineer to join the Upstream Computer Operations Department. The Upstream Computer Operations Department is responsible for the supporting the network infrastructure across two main upstream data centers, two disaster recovery sites, and 14 user buildings, with a support scope that includes configuring and managing access, distribution switches, and core routers, as well as security infrastructure such as firewalls, NAC, and IDPS, and providing support for load balancers and critical network services like DNS and DHCP. Your primary role is to support the Upstream Digital Center (UDC) network infrastructure and services. Key Responsibilities As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following: Operating and maintaining the UDC network infrastructure, including: data center networks, user building networks, and DR site networks. Troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues using tools like: Wireshark, tcpdump, and network simulators. Developing and implementing network automation scripts and workflows using tools like Ansible, Python, and Terraform. Ensuring the stability, security, and performance of all network systems, including cloud-based services and DR sites. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Developing and maintaining technical documentation and diagrams of network systems, including data center networks, user building networks, and DR site networks. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and making recommendations for network upgrades and improvements. Conduct proof of concepts (POCs) for new technologies in network, security and cloud services. Participating in on-call rotations and providing 24/7 support as required. Minimum Requirements As a successful candidate you will hold a: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. 10+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture on carrier IP networks with hands-on in routing, switching and load balancing experience in cloud provider environment. 7+ years of experience in IP networks (running Ethernet, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Layer 2 Switching, VRFs ,etc.) 7+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving complex routing and switching problems in an IP based carrier network Experience with Linux and excellent knowledge of core network services (DNS, SMTP, NTP, syslog, HTTP). Experience with programming Python or shell scripting, especially as it relates to SDN. Expert level knowledge in routing and switching protocol (BGP, OSPF, MPBGP, MPLS) Strong knowledge of IPv6, multicast, QoS, IP fast rerouting, IPSec VPN, DMVPN and VPLS. Strong knowledge in network security and enterprise security, such as DDOS, Firewall, IPS, Malware detection, etc. Experience in designing internet backbone networks including solid understanding of best practices, scalability strategy, and managed security services. Knowledge of SDN, NFV, and SD-WAN. Cisco or Juniper 'E' level Certifications are preferred. Additional security and VoIP Certifications are preferred. CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE Certifications are preferred.
