Detailed Description:
Performs and completes all essential functions required of Entry-Level to Mechanic Level 3 positions.
Assists with equipment function checks at the facility.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment failures, including engine, electrical, HVAC, suspension, transmission, brake, communication, hydraulic, and cryogenics systems.
Conducts complex equipment repairs and oversees maintenance as needed.
Ensures compliance with DOT regulations through certification and inspection processes.
Plans and executes maintenance programs effectively.
Inspects and approves completed repairs.
Creates and manages maintenance orders in SAP or SAP Fiori systems.
Mentors and coaches entry-level and lower-level mechanics during repairs.
Coordinates and facilitates HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) meetings and training sessions, reporting unsafe acts, conditions, or hazards immediately.
Actively participates in safety meetings to identify and address risks and hazards.
Utilizes competency processes to enhance job performance.
Leads and presents during meetings with regional teams, operations, and district managers.
Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Expertise in identifying, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment, including engines, electrical systems, HVAC, suspension, transmission, brake, diagnostic, communication, hydraulic, and cryogenics systems.
Knowledge of applicable DOT regulations.
Ability to supervise and oversee maintenance operations on all equipment.
Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
Proficiency in facilitating HSE meetings and training sessions.
Experience in creating maintenance orders using SAP Net Weaver or SAP Fiori systems.
Familiarity with processes for reviewing, recording, and retaining proper maintenance records.
Ability to coordinate corrective maintenance activities and plan resources effectively.
Experience in inspecting and approving completed repairs prior to returning equipment to production.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations.
Language Comprehension:
Must understand and speak English at a level sufficient to issue, receive, and respond to both safety and operations-related directions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma, GED, or applicable experience.

* Check air compressors, filters, oil levels, belts, pressures and bleed lines.
* Check for leaks, loose bolts, vibration or unusual noises by making visual inspection at least three times per day on all equipment.
* Accurately record all above information and any performed maintenance.
* Become certified on CO2 line, DIG TESS, location, Right of Way, signage, valve operation etc.
* Attend all DIG TESS notifications, reply accordingly and record.
* Perform oil changes on all equipment in a timely manor and record.
* Make notifications when problems are suspected.
* Order, stock and label spare equipment needed to keep facility in operation, in an orderly fashion.

* Operate in a Safe and environmentally sound manner.

Lewis Energy Group is looking for a highly motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Service Center team. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will diagnose problems and performs complex and/or major mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on all yellow iron and other oil field equipment.
Responsibilities
* Heavy Equipment Maintenance: Performs all necessary preventative maintenance on heavy equipment according to established guidelines and time frames. Keeps accurate and detailed records of failures and repairs in Computerized Maintenance Management System. Identifies and orders parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance. Performs complex repairs on equipment. Replaces parts and equipment as necessary. Assists lower level Mechanics in completing work assignments as necessary.
* Troubleshooting: Troubleshoots and diagnoses all problems with yellow iron equipment. Completes troubleshooting repairs and/or modifications work on equipment.
* Tool Maintenance: Performs daily inspections of tools and equipment used. Ensures cleanliness of hand tools, equipment and parts.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum five years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
* Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computer use and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of CMMS software is a plus. Fleet Management Software is a plus.

Valid Driver License.
DOT License is a plus.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Perform basic service for fleet related to running repairs, such as light bulbs, flashers, minor repairs, and, perform higher levels of service and repairs, to include brakes, suspensions, air conditioners, electrical, as skills are developed;
* Support and assist in the performance of all maintenance and repairs on the vehicle fleet "in house" when possible;
* Assists in making major repairs to body, chassis, engines and other component systems.
* Perform basic PMI service tasks such as oil and filter changes, fluid level checks, safety inspections, and minor repairs;
* Assist in the movement of vehicles, and schedule and coordinate all out-of-service vehicles with the Fleet Manager or designee;
* Assist in the maintenance of cleanliness and proper appearance of vehicle fleet, passenger shelters, benches, and immediate grounds, and all office and shop space;
* Assist in the assembly and placement of benches and trash containers and installation/replacement of Bus Stop route signs as required;
* Assist in the maintenance and changing out of advertising displays inside and outside of buses, on passenger shelters and benches, and on other displays as directed by the Fleet Manager or designee;
* Assist in preparing new vehicles for placement into service;
* Diagnose and perform maintenance, service, and repair of all equipment and components of The HOP facilities, regardless of type, as directed;
* Maintain an organized and orderly work area;
* Maintain vehicle maintenance records as required;
* Serve as lead mechanic in the absence of the Class A and direct work flow as required.

* Work in and around industrial and construction settings, which may include hazardous products, processes, materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and may require appropriate personal protective equipment (which may include, but may not be limited to, necessary respirators)
* Work on and around equipment and facilities that require knowledge of and adherence to safe work procedures and practices
* Subject to call-outs to respond to operational issues and emergencies after working hours, at night, and on weekends and holidays
* Reliable attendance at work
* Occasional overnight travel may be required
* Must live within 40 miles of reporting location
