    **Department:** Preparedness The **Independent Contractor - Preparedness Division** local, tribal, and/or private sector clients related to emergency management and homeland security, including assessments, plans, training, exercises, and evaluations. While we may not have an immediate opening, we are continuously reviewing applicants and may hire directly from this pool as roles become available, contingent upon client needs. **Responsibilities for the Independent Contractor - Preparedness Division Include:** + Create emergency operations plans (EOPs), continuity of operations plans (COOPs), and other documents to ensure clients are prepared appropriately in case of a disaster. + Design and facilitate tabletop exercises for clients, including the creation of scenario, injects, and exercise timelines. + Manage and track the completion of corrective actions identified during after-action reviews (AARs) or audit findings. + Document and maintain resource typing/inventory databases for clients as needed. + Assist in managing projects, ensuring they remain on schedule and within the defined scope. **Qualifications for the Independent Contractor - Preparedness Division Include:** + A bachelor-s degree or higher from an accredited university and at least three (3) years of experience in a relevant field, or a total of at least six (6) years of experience in a relevant field may be substituted in lieu of a degree. + Experience serving in a supervisory or lead capacity for projects, including managing financials and/or staff. + Knowledge of the National Incident Management System (NIMS), the Incident Command System (ICS), the National Response Framework (NRF), National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF), and other federal preparedness guidance documents and policies. **Compensation for the Independent Contractor - Preparedness Division Includes:** + Salary range of $30-$70/hr.
