The anticipated start date is 02/09/2026 and is expected to last through 05/11/2026. Responsibilities include small group and individual student support in school and at various job sites in our community. Candidate will be an advocate of inclusive education, problem-solver, strong collaborator, and a positive team member. Ability to promote student growth, foster independence, and a willingness to learn are essential. Prior experience supporting students with low-incidence developmental disabilities strongly preferred. Ongoing training and supervision will be provided. The Employment Specialist will be required to drive a school vehicle to transport students to/from job sites; must have a clean driving record. Use of a personal vehicle may be requested, and mileage reimbursement will be provided at federal reimbursement rate. Pay rate for this position is $28.62 to $30.53 per hour depending on education and experience.
POSITION OBJECTIVES: To provide appropriate specialized instruction and accommodations to assigned student(s) under the supervision of a special educator, employment & transition professional, and/or classroom teacher. To function semi-independently (although still under the direct supervision of a special education case manager or intervention coordinator) to direct, adjust or develop elements of the identified intervention for a student or group of students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under the direction of a professional:
Carry out instructional activities with students, relevant to the assigned specialty area, under the direction of special education case manager or professional coordinating the intervention in collaboration with classroom teacher(s).
Instructional activities include, but are not limited to:
Enabling a student with severe communication challenges to fully participate in and benefit from instruction, school activities and social interaction.

Job Description Employment SpecialistAs an employment specialist, you'll collaborate closely with our community support treatment teams, state vocational rehabilitation services, and state-funded employment specialists to design pathways that foster independence and personal growth. As a key member of our vocational team, you'll build trusting relationships with both consumers and community partners, connecting individuals to employers and opportunities that align with their goals. You'll support people on an individual level, helping them leverage their strengths, overcome barriers, and move toward recovery from isolation and financial hardship. Job Duties:
Serve as a key member of an agency-supported treatment team, coordinating services and promoting integration of employment supports.
Build trusting relationships with consumers, helping them leverage strengths and work toward recovery from isolation and financial hardship.
Facilitate placement of consumers into competitive, community-based, flexible employment opportunities.
Conduct individualized assessments to identify skills, interests, and employment goals.
Provide job development, employer outreach, and work with the benefits team to support successful employment.
Follow up with working consumers to ensure job retention and satisfaction.
Collaborate with community partners and employers to promote inclusive hiring and workforce integration.
Empower consumers to achieve independence, personal growth, and meaningful participation in the workforce.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field, with at least two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Access to a safe, reliable, and insured vehicle for travel to community and employment sites.
Knowledge, skills, and competencies:

Compensation:
