The main objective of this position is to provide overnight leadership in managing the overall DRC (Double Re-Crepe) manufacturing operation which includes Safety, Production, Quality, Scheduling, Maintenance and Logistics functions at the Industrial Road (IR) facility. DRC is a cellulosic-based specialty nonwovens technology. This role has overall responsibility for an operation that is 24/7/365. This position is responsible for ensuring systems and processes are in place to achieve and continuously improve key metrics in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Customer Service while balancing Sellars' capabilities to meet our customers' needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. This position is primarily responsible for operating a Paper Slitter/Rewinder in a safe and efficient manner. Effectively oversees the process in order to produce a quality product consistent with product specifications and workmanship standards. Ability to run/troubleshoot issues on the Slitter/Rewinder and ancillary equipment including Core Cutter, Upender, Trim Bailer and Automatic Stretch Wrapper. Other duties may be assigned: Champion efforts in continuously improving the processes and systems in order to meet or exceed key metrics as defined by the DRC RG business. It should be recognized that performance of the Senior Continuous Improvement Process Engineer will be evaluated relative to these metrics. Design, develop, test and evaluate integrated production systems including production processes, human work factors, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, inventory, quality, and production control. Develop manufacturing methods, work standardization, labor standards and cost analysis systems using them to implement metrics to promote efficient staff and facility utilization. Develops a depth of expertise in the DRC manufacturing process (ranging from base sheet creation to customer expectations) Provide support to IR Plant Manager with personnel including “on call” resourcing and leadership coverage, as required. Converting Machine Operator Shift: Monday- Friday- (6:45am- 3pm) Pay:$19.20 As a Machine Operator you are eligible for Production BONUSES, & Quarterly Attendance BONUSES! We are hiring for a reliable Machine Operator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment! The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting a converting machine. The ideal candidate should have some mechanical aptitude, the willingness to learn and the ability to work in a team environment. What You Need to Have? High school diploma or equivalency preferred. Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read a ruler required. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Be able to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment. Ability to constantly walk and stand for 8 hr. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders. How you contribute as a team member: Continuously work as a hands-on operator. Assist with equipment set-up, adjustment and operation. Assist with change overs. Process finished product. Test quality of product. Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical malfunctions. How we take care of you!
