+ Attend required training in accordance with guiding instructions

**Key Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline
+ Current certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or the Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCA)
+ At least five years of demonstrable accumulated experience (continuous and sustained experience preferred) of developing long and short-range planning and coordination of sport/mission-specific performance programs resulting in attributable results with individual athletes and groups of athletes at the levels of NCAA Collegiate, Olympic, professional sports, and/or SOF Operators in the accompanying, respective settings.
+ Current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training

We are currently providing incarnational ministry at many military installations around the world. You will have the opportunity to lead and oversee the overall Young Life Military program, known as Club Beyond, which is ecumenically focused and outreach oriented.
Responsibilities:
Actively develop healthy relationships with adults, as well as kids, and build vibrant relationships with the local community, the military installation, and the chapel community.
Be a role model (incarnational) and assist with developing community outreach to "unchurched" teens, discipleship to Christian teens, and leading and equipping volunteers to do "hands‑on" middle and high school Christian youth programs.
Work well in an environment that sees (due to high military operational tempo) a high degree of turnover among teens, families, chaplains and volunteers.

As a Deputy Regional Disaster Officer, you will oversee, through a team to include both paid and volunteer workforce, the successful implementation of the volunteer-led disaster cycle services program throughout the region in alignment with established program standards. You will work with volunteers to ensure that the communities you serve are ready to respond to disasters.
Join us in meeting the needs of continuous disaster response! Regional disaster employees are required to deploy to disaster relief operations outside of their region at a minimum of once a year. Deployments contribute to skill building, career development and exposure to different types of disasters. Allowances may be provided for personal circumstances and local response activity. Employees must meet all training and physical capacity requirements for deployment.

1. Empower Volunteers: Direct an employee and diverse volunteer team responsible for the implementation of volunteer-led disaster services programming throughout the region. Ensure disaster services are delivered in a rapid, accessible, and equitable manner, both culturally and linguistically, to meet the urgent, disaster-caused needs of our clients, with a focus on frontline communities.
2. Lead the Program: Oversee the successful implementation of the entire disaster cycle services program in alignment with Fundamental Principles and established program standards.
3. Mission Capacity Building: Champion and drive the development of regional Disaster Leadership Volunteers, including volunteer partners, to meet specific responsibilities as part of their work in disaster readiness, preparedness, response, and recovery.
4. Engage Community: Lead regional efforts to prepare and mobilize communities and engage partners to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies.
5. Manage in a Matrix: Build relationships and collaborate in the matrix management environment with internal partners, including employees and volunteers.
6. Know Your Communities: Act as the regional disaster leader and Red Cross disaster subject matter expert.
7. Ready to Respond: Initiate, scale, coordinate and manage disaster relief operations in the region in alignment with the Disaster Cycle Services Concept of Operations.

The role also involves coordinating transportation, including airport shuttling, and representing USSRC standards and values to trainees and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
Prefer a minimum of 20 completed college credit hours. Equivalent life or professional experience may be considered in place of educational credit hours.
Required Experience
Must be at least 19 years of age.
Experience working with children in a structured environment, such as coaching, tutoring, or teaching, is preferred.
Previous experience in a similar educational or instructional camp, space exploration role, or military setting is a strongly preferred.
Must possess excellent communication and instructional skills and act as a positive role model.
Strong leadership skills are essential for this position.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
A valid driver's license with a good driving record is preferred.
Willingness to comply with the required dress code.

Physical Requirements
The job involves substantial physical activity, such as walking and climbing (stairs, hills, ropes, ladders, poles, and wooded terrain) to reach simulators, ropes elements, and training areas. Extended periods of standing (4-6 hours or full shifts) are needed for instructing and operating simulators. Employees must be able to carry and lift items up to 50 lbs. waist-high and perform bending, kneeling, and reaching to handle supplies, operate equipment, and participate in camp activities. Visual acuity is essential for presenting lectures, conducting instructional tours, and engaging with guests and staff. Environmental Factors
