Minimum Qualifications :

- AAS Degree or Technical Certificate preferred, but not required

Job Description
Weekend Technician responsible for fab sustaining, characterization, and qualification over the weekend, with an emphasis on implementing metrology and Failure Analysis requests, in a wafer fab that manufactures monolithically integrated optical circuits.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
Ensure completion of various types of metrology on optoelectronic devices. Prime duties include but not limited to:
Develop and maintain recipes on CD, profiler, overlay, ellipsometer, and defect tools in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering and Integration Engineering colleagues Distinguish between and resolve events caused by processing issues versus metrology issues Support Failure Analysis (FA) requests (FIB, EDX, etc.) Support additional, non-standard metrology and FA requests as part of product development and root cause investigations Support or own metrology equipment Collect and evaluate data to characterize baseline processes and understand process windows Create equipment specs and OCAP documents as needed Train operators on equipment Work with Integration and Operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
SPCWork in a team environment consisting of engineers and operators Executing engineering requests and accurately and clearly communicating outcomes RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Actions: investigate excursions, determine root cause, define corrective action to resolve) Hands on experience with CD-SEMs, profilers, ellipsometers, and defect tools a plus Experience with Manufacturing Execution Software a plus
Education requirements:
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or a related field, with a concentration in microelectronics, optoelectronics, electronics, or physics, and a minimum of three years' experience.
Experience in III-V semiconductors is desired. Specific InP experience is not required.

As a Member of Process Technician in Etch Group, you will have the opportunity to develop Power and RF semiconductor components for a wide range of applications. We are expanding our operations due to the high demand for our diverse product lines.
This position will work with OT hours depending on business conditions., In a 2-week timeframe, there will be 3Workdays (1st week) followed by 4Workdays (2'nd week).
The Day-to-Day:
* Support our Global Operations Team meet and exceed Wolfspeed's assigned revenue on continuous growth targets.
* Work closely with Engineering team to develop and qualify new processes, and new tool sets. This will include characterizing, documenting and possibly presenting data based around designed experiments
* Report and document process issues and equipment malfunctions. Take corrective action and interact with Process Engineers, Manufacturing & Equipment Maintenance to identify and resolve non-conformance process and equipment operations.
* Process sustaining support. This will include, but not be limited to, tool qualifications, process monitoring through SPC, troubleshooting and reacting to process issues, dispositioning material, microscope inspections and many other tasks as requested
* Assist in creating new procedures and refining previously existing ones.
* Assist in training operators on both existing and new tool sets and processes.
* Direct operators in proper, safe tool operation and OCAPs.
