**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

Primary responsibilities of this role are to sustain and improve production processes and tools in the semiconductor wafer foundry, and to develop new processes.

You will be responsible for making continuous process efficiency and product yield improvement, driving cycle time and cost reduction projects to completion, participating and leading root cause analysis, acquiring and qualifying new tools for production, establishing documentation and procedure, training and certifying operators, and working with advanced engineering group on new technology development.

You will own primary tools/processes in thin film, dry etch, Wafer dicing and more areas, and expected to learn and contribute to other processing tools/areas such as wet etch, Photo lithography and Metrology tools, and Wafer Testing. You will be working up to 70% in our fast-paced cleanroom environment with delivery commitments to both internal and external customers.

+ Minimum Bachelor s degree in science and engineering field.

+ ~5 years of experience in semiconductor industry and cleanroom work environment

+ Ability to wear multiple hats, functioning both as an individual contributor and a team leader

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to perform job functions in wafer foundry clean-room environment (~70% cleanroom time)

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and internship experience.

The position will include managing process development and improvement projects, including novel processing techniques, yield increase, throughput, and safety improvements. The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing material in WIP, certifying operators, dispositioning out of flow material, and hands on processing of novel electro-optic devices. The candidate should have familiarity with some or all of these processes: Wet Etch, Dry Etch, Photolithography, Sputter Deposition, PECVD, and Metrology.

Specific knowledge of the processes and materials used in a silicon foundry environment is desirable, experience with Dry Etching using BOSCH technology is an highly desired skill set. The candidate should be able to work independently, with the ability to effectively understand and administer disposition authority for out of flow material or material requiring Engineering Review.

•2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

•Experience in cleanroom or laboratory chemical processes

•Experience with metrology equipment used in laboratory or cleanroom environments

•Experience in understanding chemical safety data and ability to follow and advise on safety protocols including the use of Personal Protective Equipment
