Jeffrey W. Martin is the chairman and chief executive officer of Sempra Energy, an energy infrastructure company based in San Diego, California. Sempra Energy develops and owns natural gas and electric transmission and distribution infrastructure with a focus on markets in North America, including California, Texas, Mexico and the liquefied natural gas (LNG) export market. The company serves more than 35 million consumers – serving more U.S. customers than any other U.S. utility holding company.  

Lisa Alexander is a Senior VP:Corporate Affairs/Chief Sustainability Ofcr at SEMPRA ENERGY. She has worked as VP:Corporate Communications & Sustainability at SEMPRA ENERGY and VP:Customer Solutions at Southern California Gas Co. Lisa works or has worked as BOARD MEMBER at United Way of Greater Los Angeles. She studied at University of California San Francisco.

Paul H. Yong is vice president of tax and chief tax counsel for Sempra Energy, a San Diego-based Fortune 500 energy services holding company whose subsidiaries provide electricity, natural gas and value-added products and services. The Sempra Energy companies’ nearly 17,000 employees serve more than 31 million consumers worldwide. As vice president of tax and chief tax counsel, Yong oversees Sempra Energy's tax department. Previously, Yong was associate chief tax counsel for the company. Before joining Sempra Energy's tax department in 2004, Yong was a principal with Quantum Tax Consultants, a tax partner with Arthur Andersen and vice president of tax with Unocal Corporation. Before that, Yong was a structural engineer with the U.S. Department of Defense.

Trevor I. Mihalik is executive vice president and chief financial officer for Sempra Energy.

In this position, Mihalik oversees all financial matters for the company, including business development, and mergers and acquisitions.

He joined Sempra Energy in 2012 as controller and chief accounting officer and was promoted to senior vice president in 2013.

Mihalik has approximately 30 years of financial experience in the energy industry, with extensive knowledge of capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, treasury and market and credit risk.

Previously, he served as senior vice president of finance at a U.S. subsidiary of Iberdrola S.A., a multinational utility and energy company based in Bilbao, Spain. Prior to that, he was vice president of finance for Chevron Natural Gas and also served as its vice president of finance and chief financial officer for their natural gas marketing, trading and storage joint venture. Mihalik spent the first nine years of his career working in Houston and London in the energy practice of PwC.

He serves on the accounting advisory board for San Diego State University and the advisory board for the University of San Diego’s School of Business Administration.

Mihalik graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Creighton University, holds a master’s degree in business administration from Rice University and is a certified public accountant.

Karen L. Sedgwick is senior vice president, chief human resources officer for Sempra Energy.

In this role, Sedgwick works to advance Sempra Energy’s value of championing people through the range of services provided by the human resources team. Her team works to enable a dynamic workforce capable of fulfilling Sempra’s vision to deliver energy with purpose. Sedgwick is responsible for managing human resource policies, organizational effectiveness, staffing, compensation, payroll and benefits.

Sedgwick has been a part of the Sempra Energy family of companies for nearly 30 years. Previously, she served as chief human resources and chief administrative officer for San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra Energy’s regulated California utilities. In that role, she oversaw all human resources for the utility and was the senior officer over operations support and supply management. Prior to that, Sedgwick was vice president and treasurer for Sempra Energy.

Sedgwick serves on the boards of directors of The Old Globe, Make-A-Wish San Diego, Promises2Kids and the Pacific Coast Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from San Diego State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of San Diego.

Peter R. Wall is senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer for Sempra Energy.

In this position, Wall is responsible for managing accounting operations, preparation and analysis of financial statements, financial reporting and accounting systems, in addition to coordinating external audits.

Previously, from 2017 to 2018, he was vice president and chief financial officer for Sempra Energy’s domestic infrastructure businesses, leading their accounting, finance, and risk and structuring groups.

Wall was vice president and chief financial officer for Sempra U.S. Gas & Power from 2015 to 2017. He also previously served as assistant corporate controller at Sempra Energy.

He joined Sempra Energy in 2012 after a 14-year career at Ernst & Young LLP, where he worked with numerous multinational companies, including many in the power and utility sector.

Wall serves on the board of directors of Infraestructura Energética Nova (IEnova).

He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Utah.
