Brookside Veterinary Clinic, a high quality, 3 doctor practice located in Auburn, NY is seeking a full time Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital team. Our goal is to provide the finest quality care over the lifetime of our patients, and to establish a permanent bond between our clients and our amazing staff. Brookside Veterinary Clinic has won The Auburn Citizens “Best of the Region, Best Veterinarian” award 10+ years in a row!
As one of our amazing Veterinary Assistant's, your responsibilities will be assisting veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians with:
Patient restraint. We practice fear-free techniques.
Taking appointments into exam rooms and obtaining patient history.
Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments.
Re-stocking exam rooms and treatment area.
Cleaning exam rooms, dog runs/cages and cat cages.
Maintaining overall cleanliness of the kennel and hospital.
You would also assist reception staff with:
Answering phone calls promptly, courteously, and professionally.
Utilizing a computer information system to schedule appointments and record patient history.
Checking in patients for exams.
Processing client payments.
Top priority will be given to applicants with previous veterinary experience.
