Job Description:
About the Role:
The Operator II role at the Manawa location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
Inspect material, products, and containers at each step of packaging process
Load raw materials and packaging into machines
Record production data, review records and specifications, complete all necessary paperwork
Set up machines for production runs and make adjustments
Perform deep cleans and changeovers
Complete quality checks
This full-time role pays $26.03 per hour on 3rd Shift. Hours are 9:45pm-6:00am.
About You:

Position Overview:
This position operates, maintains, and controls processing and packaging equipment and must be able to complete basic troubleshooting of equipment. Machine Operators complete required lab checks timely, ensuring the quality of our raw materials and product. He/she uses in-house applications for recordkeeping and inputting for in utilized systems (e.g. Maximo and SAP). Other duties include numbering batches, completing full/partial confirmations, controls and inventory, operating a scale, and supporting other plant production needs as requested by management.

* • Maintains a constant flow of juice in appropriate directions
* Safely and competently operates and manages various machinery and equipment, completing any necessary and related paperwork and testing
* Manage inventory and enter into a database for yield calculation
* Load and unload tankers, assure proper chemicals are used, and complete necessary related testing and paperwork
Perform equipment start-up and shutdown, as aligned with the facility's requirements (e.g. CIP/COP requirements using Lock-Out, Tag-Out, Try-Out)

What You'll Do:
* Conduct maintenance work, requiring moderate skill levels on all associate equipment on a packaging line, including mixing operation.
* Lubricate, adjust, and clean packaging machine.
* Maintain and set up machinery on the packaging line.
* Examine poly to ensure that the correct poly is being applied to the designated product and lot.
* Examine the cartons to ensure that the cartons are printing according to buyer's specifications.
* Maintain proper palletizing of the finished cases using slip sheets when necessary.
* Inspect and compare pallet tickets against pallet load to ensure accuracy.
* Responsible for all line reporting by computer or paper.
* Supervise the Line Personnel on his/her respective line.
* Assist in training new Line employees and/or new Machine Operators.
* Responsible for work accomplished by the personnel in the Frozen Packaging Department.
* Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
* May perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:

* Previous Quality Control experience preferred.
* Effective communication skills.

* Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
