This is a labor-intensive position with diverse job duties that may vary on a daily basis. Roustabouts may be required to work in all types of inclement and/or extreme weather conditions. Key Responsibilities Unscrew or tighten pipes, casing, tubing, and pump rods, using hand and power wrenches and tongs. Walk flow lines to locate leaks, using electronic detectors and by making visual inspections, and repair the leaks. Move pipes to and from trucks, using truck winches and motorized lifts, or by hand. Dismantle and repair oil field machinery, boilers, and steam engine parts, using hand tools and power tools. Dig drainage ditches around wells and storage tanks. Bolt or nail together wood or steel framework to erect derricks. Cut down and remove trees and brush to clear drill sites, to reduce fire hazards, and to make way for roads to sites. Dig holes, set forms, and mix and pour concrete into forms to make foundations for wood or steel derricks. Position requires a strong focus on project specifications, drawings, and industry standards while coordinating daily with the Project Manager and subcontractors. Project Superintendent must be capable of leading company expectations and initiatives thoughout their team. Responsibilities Supervise/Perform various construction activities. Tasks include but are not limited to; demolition, concrete, rough & finish carpentry, metal studs, drywall Perform if qualified or assist operators with excavation activities. Tasks include but are not limited to; layout, hand excavation, hand backfill, compaction, line locating and excavation spotting. Manage subcontractors and hold accountable for safety, quality, schedule and budget. Develop and maintain redline drawings throughout the project.
