ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and oversee the activities of the Finance-Accounting and Payroll departments to ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial data as well as the dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, monthly budget vs actual reporting budgets. Acquire knowledge and oversee implementation of government contract accounting according to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) guidelines for company compliance. Work with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) on government contract audits. Work with external Certified Public Accounting firms for annual financial statement independent audits and annual federal and state corporate tax returns. Directly manage or provide support for the completion of all internal and external audits and tax compliance. Oversee the activities of the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll departments to ensure the accurate and timely management of all AR and AP aging components including billings, cash receipts application as well as the weekly processing of the Company Payroll.
